6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are new to the area and at Carver Elementary, but in the short time we've been here I have noticed great progress in all three of my children . My children were welcomed to Carver with open arms and adjusted quickly to their new school. The factually and staff are all amazing sharing their carver pride with everyone they encounter. You can see the passion and love everyone has for their job and helping the children be successful in achieving their goals while maintaining confidence in their learning capabilities. I was also very impressed with the amount of devotion exhibited by all the parent and grandparent volunteers. I'm super impressed with every aspect of Carver and all they have to offer. Teachers will rarely listen to or try to understand a student's point of view. The administration will ignore many student concerns without any investigation unless parents interfere. Many of the work handed is just busy work and rarely has an impact on student learning. There are some helpful teachers but there are even more cruel teachers. It's incredibly hard to fix grades that a student didn't deserve without parental interference. This school is a college prep school so there is not an emphasis in the Arts, but more a focus on core curriculum. "small, friendly town. Home town feel close to busy city (Raleigh). Great small businesses and restaurants. Could use a couple of fast food options, only McDonalds in town limits. overall, quiet and nice place to live. "

"We enjoyed living in this neighborhood for a long time. It's a great place for kids to grow up and get to know the neighbors. The schools are within 3-4 miles of the community. You get the best of both worlds - small town community with downtown Raleigh just over 15 miles away."

"Short drive to major shopping areas, restaurants, work and nightlife. 10 minutes to Mudcat's Baseball Stadium. Quick access to IH-540, 440 and 40. Right on Beach Highway 64. Excellent mid-point from Raleigh to Rocky Mount and IH-95"
