H street corridor is a 7 minute walk from the house and has a large variety of bars and restaurants, with new ones opening all the time. Union Market is within walking/biking distance and there are several breweries and distilleries in the area as well.

There are a number of grocery stores in our neighborhood - Aldi and Safeway are around the corner, Giant and Mom's Organic Market are a short drive/bike ride away. The Whole Foods on H street is one mile from the house and is also an easy walk, bike or drive.

    "There is access to the downtown area by bus but you must walk a few blocks to the main bus route unless you don’t mind transferring. I personally don’t like the main bus route (x2) it’s generally a lot of chaos and overcrowding. The busses run oddly as well. "
