About this House

Welcome to your new home!

This stand-alone cottage at the back of a house includes a bed, kitchenette, laundry, stall shower. Newer cabinets and appliances. It's quiet and pretty with a garden view. Separate side entrance, no roommates.

Seeking: One person who is employed, responsible, quiet and tidy. No pets. Available now.

Rent is $1750 plus 25% of the energy bill (there are 2 tenants in the main house on the property). Internet is separate, about $55/mo if you want it. Water, trash, and monthly gardening is included. 6-24 months preferred. $500 security deposit.

About the neighborhood: It's beautiful, quiet, and residential around here. Parking is easy to find. Houses, trees, and an elementary school across the street. A short walk or bike ride to Berkeley Bowl, the library, Ashby BART and all the fun stuff.

About the house: There are two gals living in the main house. The cottage is in the back and detached from the main house. There's a garden with mature trees, flowers, and a picnic table.

About the cottage: The cottage was recently remodeled. The kitchen is newer with cabinets, concrete countertop, garbage disposal, newer appliances, and a medium size refrigerator. The loft is up a ladder and some people have chosen to sleep up there, but some sleep at ground level. The bathroom has a stall shower, toilet, medicine cabinet over the sink, fan, and a washer/dryer tucked into a closet. There is also potential for outdoor patio furniture.

The cottage is small, but just enough. If you are a tall person, it will feel small especially under the loft area, which is about 7.5 ft tall. If you are a shorter/medium height person, then great!

If you are interested please reply:
1. What do you do during the week?
2. Can you afford the rent?
3. Where do you currently live and why are you moving?
4. For how long do you plan to rent and what dates?
5. Will you be bringing a car or pets?

6-24 months preferred. Electric/Gas are split, water is included. Internet is extra.

From helping the elderly to supporting the youth it's one big fest of communities colliding together and having each other backs. Let's not forget the big parties and many fusion restaurants they have to offer. With its diversity of multicultural foods the possibilities are endless and of course let's not forget our classics to New York style pizza to traditional Mexican cuisine it's an abyss of nothing but delicious food coming your way "
