This is an incredible school with an amazing staff and leadership. We graduated one student recently who is thriving at middle school because of the support she got at LES. We have one current student who loves it more each year. The entire staff is supportive and the PTO does a great job of keeping us informed and connected. I can't imagine sending our kids anywhere else. This is what we hoped for when we sent our kids to a neighborhood school.

We love this school! We currently have 6th and 8th graders and we are happy to have chosen this school. Teachers are fantastic! They provide engaging content for our advanced kiddos (advanced in English and Math). They also participate in the fun extra curricular activities, like Brain Bowl, Spelling Bee, Magic The Gathering, School dances, etc. There haven't been any bullying, and only one instance of what may have been the start of something, we mentioned it to one of the school counselors and she was active on it to her best ability. Every day, my kids are happy to go to school, excited to be there early before the bell to chat with their friends, and they don't hesitate to chat with teachers after class. They do not want to miss one day of school, even if they feel under the weather.

If your children is a self-motivated learner who is the “popular” type of student who teachers like, they will do well. If you have a child outside the box, it will be a nightmare especially if they are needing special needs and need effective curriculum management and accommodations. This includes 504 plans. We graduated a while ago and the SSN program was an absolute nightmare. Just sitting in a classroom holding hands and being nice and good is not education.. it is a holding spot. Special Ed students, especially those that are SSN and 504 students deserve more. This school may send students to top notch trophy colleges, but they fail to properly educate a significant number of their students.
