3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has made the last three years of my life extremely stressful. Bullying is HORRIBLE as someone who dresses differently. People giving you disgusted looks in the halls, constantly get called slurs and weird nicknames then the staff not doing anything about it. Racism, sexism, fat phobia, etc is really bad as well. Students constantly scream the N slur and have absolutely no consequences. Majority of the teachers give you way too much work and projects, most of it having to be worked on outside of school. Me and my friends got in trouble for hugging and doing make up/ hair during lunch, our literal free time. Rules are very strict and dumb. No Phones, No going to the bathroom during hawk time or ten minutes before or after class, no hats, no rosary, no bandanas, no tang tops/ spaghetti straps (Which apparently applies more to women then men), If you don’t have your ID you have to go to the back of the lunch line, and more. Work in 6th grade was a little fun, but right when you got to 7th it was boring and plain. In 8th grade, none of the work is fun nor exciting. PE standards are really high. Instead of being graded on participation, it’s grading based off of performance and athletic ability, so kids who aren’t as athletic won’t get a good grade. Halls are very crowed with people always shoving or deciding to stand still in the middle of the hall. I’ve constantly heard other students talk about me and my friends behind their back.Overall, it’s a horrible school. The teaching isn’t the worst, but the enviroment and students make the experience horrible.Student Review2y ago9 Reviews - Skyview High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI thoroughly enjoyed my four years at Skyview. I was one of a few students who was involved in AP classes, drama, band, and sports. While I understand the argument that sports get most of the money, I think it's a false perception. The funding for the sports is mostly earned through admissions to their events and concessions. Band and drama need to charge and have concessions if they want that kind of funding. Academically, I felt that the teachers did the best they could with the resources they had. It's unfortunate that there aren't more opportunities, but even if there were students and parents would complain. I had great experiences with most of my teachers and staff. There were no clique or bullying problems when I was in school there. I think the A/B days and different lunch schedules really help with that. I wouldn't hesitate to have my kids go to Skyview.Student Review12y ago3 Reviews - Lake Ridge Elementary School

"It is a very safe and homey city. Being a single female with a small dog, I don’t feel unsafe walking alone with her at night. It’s close to Boise, Caldwell, and meridian. There are plenty of stores around to go shopping. Overall a great area. "

"there are large areas to play with your dogs and sidewalks to walk your dogs. Community provides pet disposal stations throughout the area"

"The small number of houses and the larger lot size makes Spring Valley a very sought after neighborhood. It’s access to surrounding schools in the immediate area as well as grocery stores and amenities add to the appeal to find a home in this area, and more so Spring Valley."

"Don’t let them bark!! Too many people have loud dogs. Don’t let them be outside much or overnight. Dogs belong inside or with another family. "

"I’m unemployed but it looks bad. I often look at the traffic and cry inside. Partly for the environment and partly because they don’t believe in street lights out here. "

"Lots of development happening here with houses that are too close together. Also many people with dogs don’t seem to pick up after their dogs as well as just let them run loose so there’s no accountability for dog feces"

"farmers markets. also doen town nampa where there little antique shops and theres classic places in down town nampa it's very unique and nampa pretty much touches every city like Boise, Caldwell, meridian, marsing. it's a touch away from every place and it feels small but big. the only thing wrong that I've seen in nampa and I've lived here for 13 years is the construction and traffic that's really the only difficult part but you'll see it everywhere but it's most definitely worth living here nampa is home. "I’m 10 minutes from the highway, right now I don’t have to leave the house during normal rush hour times but when I do, it can be a nightmare for traffic right where the lanes turn from 2 to 3 on the highway. Otherwise I have everything I need within a 10 minute drive"

"it's very good and safe for the family life. Everything is kept in a orderly manner as well as parks are clean and well kept. There are plenty are parks around this part of Nampa so there's plenty for kids to play on. The schools are good and I've heard nothing but good come from those who attended them. I would personally highly recommend this as a place to settle down."
