3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family moved from Klein ISD to Conroe ISD, with only our youngest son still in school. We hoped he would thrive, make friends, and enjoy the new environment, but his first year (2025-2026 term, 6th grade) has been deeply disappointing and challenging. The teachers assigned to him have been consistently rude and unprofessional, often complaining and contacting me during my work hours to report concerns about his behavior or academics. Although I recognize my son’s behavior isn’t always perfect, discouraging remarks from teachers—like “I’ve lost all hope in you” and “I can’t help you”—have only made matters worse. My son has a learning disability, is easily distracted, and finds loud environments overstimulating, but these needs have not been met with understanding or support. The classroom environment is harsh, with teachers raising their voices in response to misbehavior, increasing anxiety and discomfort. Bullying is a serious problem; my son has both witnessed and experienced students making inappropriate gestures and threats, including threats involving ICE. Though reports are filed, nothing seems to change or improve. Teachers rarely listen to students, dismissing my son’s attempts to explain himself. Even during the holidays, when we offered gifts to his teachers, we noticed a lack of appreciation. Our experience at Klein ISD was much more positive, and we miss the supportive environment there. The transition has been difficult for our entire family, leading us to seriously consider homeschooling. I’m unfamiliar with other local options and cannot recommend another school. Despite ongoing development in the area, the schools have not kept pace with improvement, and it may be several years before Conroe ISD reaches the quality found at Katy ISD.Parent Review3mo ago - Hope Elementary School
