"People love walking their dogs in our neighborhood. Neighbors respect each other. Newcomers need to know we expect owners to keep pets on leash and pick up after them"
  • Christine B.
"Nice little town. There is not a lot to do but the town is growing fast. The housing market is climbing"
  • Lisa.elias60
"There are a LOT of dogs around here that are left out all the time. Some bark constantly and loudly. When one starts up at night they all do!! "
  • Bwknight76
"Sometimes there is a pit bull running around our neighborhood that has kept my wife in her car. The dog has yet to be picked up with multiple calls to our Animal Control officers. "
  • Missy
"A few parks and nice city pool! Friendly people and small town living. Been here for 12 years and I could not even think of living somewhere else!"
  • Alfredo C.
"To un neighborly and those who have dogs keep them on there property while others don’t care for having them on a leash there to many loose dogs and cats around owners I think don’t care about anybody "
  • Laci H.
"Durant is a growing town with small town ideals. It's a quiet town. There is access to lakes, parks, & great shops downtown. "
  • Coinneacspog
"Lots of drugs, tweakers, and idiots. A few nice people. It's okay during the day but can get a little crazy at night. There are loose dogs, iffy people, idiots driving crazy, etc. You have to be careful. We have found needles on the ground. "
  • Kiraranae123
"ive lived in durant my whole life so i know a lot if people but i really enjoy my neighborhood cause i live in a dead end road so there is very little traffic"
  • Caitynsmom
"It’s pretty quiet for the most part but traffic is awful in the mornings so there’s that to look forward to every day until you die. "
  • Sunbeam3233
" nice community by a very nice elementary school. very low crime rates in my neighborhood and a very caring community that bans together to make necessary changes in the neighborhood to keep it safe and beautiful"
  • glnpwl
"I love this community it is right out of a "Leave it to Beaver" show, perfect neighborhood, and beautiful traditional homes. "
  • Recacobbs
"I live here. Not the greatest neighborhood but, it is what we could afford. I am lucky to have good neighbors. People in the area let their pets run loose which is a nuisance. It is a cute older neighborhood. It is in the city limits but, does NOT have City Amenities. No City water or sewers or Electric.... Electric is co-op, water is rural and sewage is Septic Tanks. Not ideal"
