"I’ve been living in Addison for 4 years and so far no complains. Neighbors are not bothersome and everything you need is within 10-15 minutes away (grocery store, restaurants, bars, retail stores, and galleria mall. Downtown is between 17 to 20 minutes away depending on traffic."
  • Deron.alba10

  • Trulia User
"schools are not great. diversity is definitely an issue. the teachers are great but upper parties are subpar. alot of parks within 10 minutes. "
  • Bakerjacobe
"A lot of parks and places to go. Many restaurants. low level of crime. police are idiots, but town officials and Fire Fighters are smart."
  • Rlc2502
"Good access to parks, and multiple dog parks nearby. Restaurants are mostly dog friendly, and most apartment complexes have dog related activities."

"Vitruvian Park has different events depending on the time of the year. Winter time is great for the Vitruvian Lights, and in the summer there’s concerts with food trucks for a large portion of the summer. "
  • Hgggh
"this is a dog friendly neighborhood. People pick after their pets here. Addison has a lot of Vet clinics and pet Hotels. most apartment here are Dog friendly, I would say about 90%. Most apartments also have Amentities for Pets, like pet wash, Pet Play areas and there is also a huge park in Addison Circle that is Pet friendly."
  • Jessicah M.
"The traffic on DNT is horrible. It’s horrible on 635 as well. Leave your home early or sit in traffic."
  • Craig E. G.
"Addison sucks for families. Only live there if you are single and want to party every night. Addison is not a place to raise a child."
  • V.johnston22
"To and from work or school is my normal commute. I walk to the gym, grocery store, and community activities that the park ( Vitruvian park) host. I drive to get gas as well which is just about a half a mile away. There is normally something to do every 2 weeks if not sooner for people of all ages. Most events are family friendly. So overall I would say my commutes are short and sweet when traffic isn’t so bad on I35 or I635 North and east."
  • Laura C. J.
"European feel. 100% walkable and dog friendly. Beautiful parks all around, music throughout the summer and events for 4th July, Taste of Addison, Oktoberfest, among others. It is a neighborhood like no other. We love it!"
