Description

Cute little house in downtown Sylva, with 1 bedroom, 1 bath and small bonus room (could be a small bedroom), above a separate 1 bedroom, 1 bath, basement level apartment. Lease is for entire house, which could be shared with a housemate, relative, partially sublet, or whatever works best for you!

Walkable to shops, cafes, bookstores, one block up from Main Street.
Upstairs has updated washer dryer, oven, refrigerator, but no dishwasher (dishwasher in photos broke and due to compact size could not be replaced, it is now additional shelving).
Downstairs has an oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher.

Great mountian view, and across the street is an empty lot, so no one will interrupt your porch-sitting.
House is mostly unfurnished, but a bed is in the master bedroom, as well as a piano (which is a bonus! However if you don't like pianos, please feel free to use it as a fancy built-in shelf!)

Pets are okay (up to two, or to be discussed), kids are okay.
No smoking inside.

House uses electric heat, there is a wood stove, but it is currently non-functioning. House has a brand new roof, as of mid July 2024.

Lease is for one year at a time, but can be negotiated.

Renter is responsible for utilities, but can possibly negotiate with owner to take over (or pay via) owner's accounts (fixed payment plan for power, no new-account/connection fees for power, water, etc).
Renter is also responsible for yard maintenance.

There is off street parking for two cars (comfortably) or three (with one blocked in).

Again, no smoking.
