The firemen are always so awesome with kids when you walk up there, they let the kids see the trucks and let them inside of them. I love the "small town" feeling. Lake Alfred has always been older people (retirees) and in the past 5-10 years with the development of new homes we've seen more kids. Lakes for recreation surround this community and much shopping and food is available in both Winter Haven and Haines City a short distance away. "
