"Beautiful small town. Itโ€™s safe and everyone knows everyone. Not many places like this anymore but itโ€™s nice to know they still exist."
  • Britanietx
"Pet friendly community for sure. Lots of pet owners walk animals regularly . Smithville is very much small town vibe, friendly, yet close to larger city with shopping etc."
  • Britanietx
"Itโ€™s quintessential small town USA, several events where Main Street is decorated or lit up, music festival, 4th of July, Veterans Day, Halloween and a huge Christmas parade just a few of the events. "
  • Nilah G.
"Dog owners love the dog park and they wouldnโ€™t like all the stray cats and dogs that are out and about but for the most part itโ€™s a dog friendly neighbor hood "
  • Doriann G.
"We live and work locally, but the drive to the airport and Austin is easy. Bastrop is a short drive away. Houston is easy to get to."
  • debbie b
"They would like for people to actually take care of their dogs and not let them roam around the neighborhood "
  • Britanie O.
"Small town, peaceful, relaxing wind down and relax kind of place. No crime, no big city issues yet located 45 min from Austin"
  • Woodwisecustom
"Good neighborhood. Quiet, never any trouble. Close to town yet out of town. Everyone knows each other and waves. "
  • Woodwisecustom
"Our entire street helps everyone out when needed. Watching kids, borrowing an item etc... we also have monthly bbqโ€™s where everyone chips in and hangs out with one another for the day. "
  • Michael Y.
"This is a great place to live as long as you don't have to drive into Austin every day or if you don't mind the 1 hr.+ drive. There is a private lake in the subdivision that is managed by the HOA along with a private swimming pool. Good roads and within just a few short min. to beautiful Buescher state park, lakes and the Colorado River. Shopping is a short drive away in near by Smithville, Home of the movie " Hope Floats" and many more. Some of the best BBQ you can find in the state comes from Smithville! Located between Bastrop and La Grange you have the best of both worlds with country living and the conveniences of being in town. This property would be ideal for the retiree or a young family! A real must see. It really is a great home, Nothing like it in this price range!"
  • Deb N.
"REALLY NICE PLACE TO LIVE AND HAVE A COUNTRY ENVIRONMENT BUT CLOSE TO CITY."
  • Deb N.
"Neighbors look out for each other. Ride bikes, swim, park, basketball, lake, swimming. Nice place to live."
  • Deb N.
"Absolutely love this private subdivision. Peaceful and friendly. Clean and Maintained. School bus picks children up in front of the house at 7:00 am and returns them each school day at 4:20 pm. "
