  • Allison A.
"Very safe family neighborhood. Generally quiet. People look out for each other. My friends and I feel safe walking around at night. I love the tree-lined streets and little pocket parks"
  • Trulia User
"Some people seem to pick up their dog’s poop. But, then again, some people seem not to pick up their dog’s poop. These are the two options that I have seen in this community regarding dogs and their poop and the owners picking up after them."
  • Veronica champion
"I do not have a dog, but in this area people always pick up their dog poop and if I had a dog, I would love to walk around the neighborhood with the dog"
  • Trulia User
"Nice restaurants and bars, up and coming. Community feel. Pretty safe. Nice parks. Usually there is parking on most steers. Lots of places to walk - decently clean but there is sidewalk trash. I have enjoyed living here. A nice little pocket of the city. "
  • Trulia User
"Great area great people also there are a lot of fun activities to do around the neighborhood. I love it here."
  • Trulia User
"Great restaurants, family & dog friendly, fantastic energy in the neighborhood and growing! I’d highly recommend anyone to check out this area of Philly. "
  • Trulia User
"There are a lot of festivals and art markets in the summertime. A lot of great restaurants. It’s getting over gentrified though."
  • Nick G.
"I work from home but getting anywhere from here is super easy. Buses, septa, and regional rail from Temple."
  • Nina B.
"Before we were invaded by all this new construction and new people this neighborhood was quiet it was parking everywhere and it never took more than 5 mins to get from point A to point B. If you love living in a “refurbished neighborhood” where they are taking over and making our own neighborhood unrecognizable loud dogs everywhere and pooping in front of your house and the owner not cleaning up behind their pet or neighbors having their trash everywhere than this is the neighborhood for you "
  • Dom C. E.
"Fun and safe area to live in. I've not had many issues getting around or finding parking. I love it here. "
  • Corinne K.
"I only live 1.5 miles away so I can walk which is a nice walk or i can drive and it takes 5 minutes."
  • Katie M
"With new construction popping up everywhere and new people moving in, there has been a recent increase in the amount of dogs I see. I love that there are dog friendly parks, stores and even restaurants in the area. My dog loves living here!"
  • Sidney M.
"the walk to the el is the longest part, the train is quick if it shows up on time but who ever knows with septa!"
  • Caitlin C.
"You can eat at a new restaurant that is walking distance every day for a year. There is also always parking!"
  • Sarah B.
"We are known for our block parties, cookouts and our culture."
  • Sarah B.
"Block parties are the best around here. Every block party is a new memory for me."
  • Sarah B.
"It's very easy to get from point A to B in this neighborhood."
  • Ashley G.
"It's a good area to raise kids."
  • Ashley G.
"The neighborhood has a close-knit feel. Everyone knows everyone."
  • Ashley G.
"The tournaments and the block parties are really fun and being everyone together"
  • Ashley G.
"There's normally a good amount of traffic during the week to and from work, but generally it's easy to get around."
  • Twain78
"Quickly transitioning neighborhood that is easily walkable to other great areas and public transportation. "
  • Lukecarlosoreilly
"Great Restaurants and the area has a unique architecture that is natural and modern at the same time"
  • Wett d.
"I love this neighborhood it's super convienent and near everything! You have the mfl and the broad st line in walking distance! "
  • Joseph O. B.
"This area has it all -- cool restaurants and cafes like LaColombe, Frankford Hall, Reanimator, etc., easy parking, walkable to Super Fresh and the Piazza, easy access to Girard Ave. trolley, Market-Frankford el, and several bus routes. You would think residents, old and new, would treat their investments here with pride. Unfortunately, most residents care little about the curb appeal of their homes. Trash and other debris line the sidewalks and gutters. Leaves pile up and are never picked up. Weeds are allowed to grow knee-high in summer. Residents allow circulars to pile up on their stoops and simply step over them. Residents put out recycling carelessly, allowing it to spill or be wind-strewn into the streets. And no one seems to care. Until this attitude changes this area will never be considered "nice.""
