8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDavis High is a great school with great teachers. My son is a senior and has had a great experience. Competition is pretty high as the town (Davis) is a small community with a very large University of California campus, and thus is filled with parents who have advanced degrees and very high academic standards. I suspect academically weaker students will feel this, but on the other hand academically talented students will have the opportunity to excel. If your child is not academically strong (or at least average) they may be best served by other alternatives in Davis (Da Vinci High), a private school, or in nearby high schools.Parent Review7mo ago - Oliver Wendell Holmes Junior High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTutors are in high demand because students are struggling with lessons provided. Canvas optional so rarely updated and teachers do not honor 504 plans. If you want your child to succeed do not put them in DJUSD unless you are a full time parent, can afford quality tutors and willing to teach your child at home.Parent Review1mo ago - North Davis Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has been attending NDE for 4 years. All staff have been inclusive, kind and helpful. Curriculum and teaching methods are great and social/emotional support has been a blessing at struggling times. Many fun activities. The only complaint my child has ever had is the food selection, but that is district wide, I thinkParent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1661 Spring St #333.

"lots of grass for dogs to poop and pee. however, this area is extremely expensive. so, if you want to live here, you probably can't afford to have a dog. You'll probably barely be able to take care of yourself. good luck! we're all doomed here in California. "

"Fabulous old neighborhood that will be turning over very soon. Many houses are getting renovated and put up for sale. Careful of where you buy though. Certain neighborhoods have access to pools and gyms and some do not. Make sure you decide carefully"

"Neighbors meet in the cul de sac on Thursday nights to visit. Everyone brings their own chair and preferred beverage. We actually really like each other. Occasionally we will put up a big screen and watch a movie outside. "

"Good city just too expensive. You get what you paid for. If you hate driving and like riding bikes it’s perfect. If you like to drive you’re going to hate all the bike lanes."

"It is a wonderful community. People enjoy exercise, walking their pets, and playing in the parks. We have a wonderful place where fruits grow, but if you pick the fruits, people will yell at you. Keep in mind many of the fruits lie wasted on the ground. "
