Description

Waltz into this 750sf corner south and east facing one bedroom home that looks out to the open sky, over rooftops and different buildings, to the famous Copper Building. It will seem like you have infinite space inside and out. The 'great room' is expansive, being 27 feet long and almost 12 feet wide making it the perfect space as a non-traditional room without walls to set up any way you want. Beautiful medium-colored oak parquet hardwood floors throughout.
The fully equipped windowed kitchen is lined with maple wood cabinets with enough storage for dishes and cookware. Tiled backsplash sits atop a marble counter space large enough for meal preparations. Just outside of the kitchen is a pantry that will store food items and the rest of your culinary needs.Stainless steel appliances include General Electric refrigerator, dishwasher and a DeLonghi stove.
The stone tiled bathroom is tastefully done in shades of brown and neutrals. New hardware, sink, toilet and light fixture. The shower is encased by glass. Just outside the bathroom, in a hallway, is the linen closet, big enough to store supplies for the bathroom and bedroom.
Bedroom gets two exposure and is spacious enough for a king sized bed. The upgraded big closet is ideal to display your fashion sense. There is plenty of room to create a writing or reading area. The wall unit air conditioners are relatively new and sit inside a built-in custom cover just under the windows.
Enjoy some beautiful architecture found in townhomes and in pre-war buildings that line the streets between the Avenues. It is a diverse residential neighborhood that emerged from the pandemic with the re-opening and establishment of new restaurants and businesses. You will find an array of cuisines to satisfy your palate. Close to Fairway, Trader's Joe, Grand Central and some notable places like the Morgan Library & Museum and the Empire State building. The Hampton Jitney is close by. Public transportation include buses, trains, and the LIRR.
Features include twenty-four hour doorman, live-in super, laundry in basement, storage bin, bike storage, rood terrace, Spectrum package included in maintenance, no Flip Tax, pied-a-terres permitted, sublet after one year permitted AND pets allowed.
It's a neighborhood that once discovered, you would not want to leave.

"Pretty great access to transportation. Right down the block from Grand Central where many connecting routes are. This area has many private schools and studying/tutoring centers. There’s a plethora of food and dining as well, many modern places like branch food chains; but there’s also a handful of small “mom and pop” shops."

"It’s so easy to get any transportation. If you want to go to the west side, take a bus. If you want to go up and down town, you just need to take green subway. So easy. "

"It is in Manhattan yet it is very quiet. Actually it is the quietest place we ever lived in Manhattan. Yet, you are in walking distance from the UN, Grand Central Station, Times Square, Bryant Park etc. It is also safe being near the UN and having lots of police patrolling the area. We loved being able to walk to Broadway shows and eat Brazilian grilled meat in Times Square. It was nice to be able to take a train or a bus to most places or even a short taxi ride. You can take a bus on train from Bryant Park to Madison Square Garden too. Really this place is centrally located. It is super if you work at the UN and send your kid to the UN child care centre since you don't even have a commute. Everyone nearly has a dog and nobody bothers you. There are lots of nice restaurants in the area. The only down parts are that the buildings here are really old so don't usually have amenities that newer buildings have like swimming pools and gyms. "Within walking distance of Penn Station, but less grungy and unsafe-feeling than west side of Midtown. (Still lots of homeless in western part of neighborhood around Fifth Ave. though). Pretty safe, though few places are as safe in 2020 as they were a year or two ago."
