Natural creeks run through Somersby including a creek at the lower end of this property. Somersby has seasonal and man-made waterfalls, hiking trails and ponds along with beautiful long range mountain views. Underground utilities, paved streets, water, city-sewer, electric, and phone lines.

    Mountain/country lifestyle and view with close proximity to shopping and cultural activities, 35 minutes to Asheville, 30 minutes to the Asheville Airport, 20 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 10 minutes from 222 bed Pardee Hospital, ER and physicians. Area rises to about three thousand feet above sea level making for pleasant summers with average high temperature of 83 degrees.

    Nearby attractions also include Flat Rock Playhouse, Carl Sandburg's home, Brevard Music Festival, Biltmore Estates and lots of hiking and waterfalls nearby in Pisgah National Forest.

    Architect committee oversees community building restrictions with a minimum home size of 1800 sq. ft. heated space for a one-story home, 2400 sq. ft. heated space on two stories. There is no requirement to build on property within any number of years.
