"They would not like the small dog park. It is usually a mud pit. Some don’t pick up afterwards. And let them tinkle outside of the door area. So when you walk up it smells."
    • Trulia User
"Some of Kenwood's streets are not well lit due to the large amount of mature trees. Kids must take care when riding bikes."
    • Westonjwaugh
"People are always walking their dogs down to the very large dog park underneath the highway intersection just a couple blocks from 20th St and 2nd Ave"
    • John
"Mostly apartment building and condos. Not really a place to raise a family. Loaded with mid twenty to thirties working peoples "
    • vanessa speaks
"Parks and safe areas to walk or ride bikes. Fairly quiet area, not much through traffic. Lots of stray cats."
    • Kari
"I live downtown, I do not commute to work and I walk to all amenities that are downtown. No other comments. "
    • Savvy240
"Nice neighbors and easy access to beach, downtown and the surrounding areas. It’s very walkable and quiet, with lots of trees. "
    • Nanette DeCardenas
"There is absolutely everything within walking distance. Every one that lives in this area, might not know their first names, but we all see familiar faces. "
    • C.sipos
"Nothing. Nobody says hello. The building is not in good repair. Windows are painted shut. And this area is surrounded by a metal fence…but only one way out if a building caught fire."
    • Trulia User
"I see many people walking their dogs and go for long walks with their friends . I don’t know what else you want me to say about walking a dog."
    • Trulia User

    • Trulia User

"Bad rental prices, but awesome neighborhood to live. For a studio apartment cost $1,500. That suppose to be mortgage payment. "
    • Trulia User
"You probably want an SUV to get kids to and from school in heavy rain. The streets are lower than the homes and can flood a bit in heavy rain at high tide."
    • Trulia User
"Neighborhood picnics. Lots of walkers in the neighborhood. It’s also nice that everyone keeps up with their yard even without an HOA. "

    • Trulia User
"Easy area to walk your dog around. Sidewalks, streetlights. The area can seem a little more rough than it is at first. Walking your dog around is a good way to get to the know the folks around you. I love my neighbors. People really watch out for each other here. If they know who you are, they’ll treat you with the same respect you give them. "
    • Trulia User
"Lots of dogs being walked! Great neighborhood with friendly neighbors and speed bumps so traffic is slow."
    • Fran G.
"The neighborhood is pretty and Walter Fuller park is beautiful and huge… but you’ll likely find the neighbors from the multiple crackhouses sleeping on the tables and benches of you go before 9am. I’ve been yelled at and creeped on while waking the dog or when the kids are with me so I tend to avoid it that early unless I’m with a friend. Also there’s usually multiple police cars and surveillance vans parked all along 28th street, I’ve seen a few raids but the crack house is going strong. "
    • Trulia User
"really really I really really really enjoy this neighborhood it's wonderful I like the people that are in there I like the streets"
    • Trulia User
"Collard Greens Festival, Food truck nights, We all very much support local businesses. Community-focused neighborhood."
