About this House

Hello potential roommate! We are looking for a new roommate to move in September 1.
Cost: $1005
~Private Bedroom/Large Closet
~Shared Bath (with 2 other roommates)

ABOUT THE APARTMENT:
Our home is a 4 bedroom/2 bath apartment in a large 4 unit building in an amazing part of Berkeley. We are located on the first floor. There is one larger bedroom, which is occupied by roommate T, which has its own bathroom. The 3 remaining rooms share the other bathroom.

The apartment has a super large living room, a dining room, a full kitchen including a garbage disposal and dishwasher. All the appliances are modern with a fairly new refrigerator and oven. There is also a lemon tree in the backyard.

**Month-to-month lease
**No pets
**No smoking/vaping in the house (okay, for outside only).

LAUNDRY:
The building has 2 washing machines and 1 large dryer (pay for use via Zelle) located in the back of the building which is easily accessible.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Perfect South Berkeley location! Close to Ashby BART (10 minute walk) and the MLK freeway entrance, Berkeley Bowl, Adeline St. Farmer's Market is a block away every Tuesday and plenty of great eats/bars/coffee spots like Sweet Adeline, Lemat, Hoi Polloi, Red Bay Coffee, all within walking distance.

PARKING:
We have one spot assigned to our unit which we rotate weekly if you have a car. There is also tons of free street parking and finding a spot has never been an issue.

ABOUT OUR HOME:
We are a POC, queer-friendly home. Most of us are working professionals that generally keep to ourselves, but that's mostly due to the nature of our work. We are very open to a roommate that enjoys building community in our space!

We are also interested in living with someone who is responsible, clean, self-aware and respectful of common spaces. By 10:00pm we try to have quiet hours as some roommates wake up very early. We do have a set cleaning schedule that rotates weekly that we try to have completed each Sunday. It goes without saying life sometimes intervenes but we do like to keep the house clean.

The bathroom is shared with female roommates who would prefer another female or trans identifying person to share the bathroom with. *No couples* Friends and overnight guests are welcome but we are not looking for a "fifth roommate."

ABOUT US:
A (she/her): 24; woman. Data Analyst & youth basketball coach. Enjoys video games, rock climbing, and music. Commutes into SF for work 2x a week.

T (she/her): 22; Exchange student from Norway studying psychology. Some of my hobbies: hiking, hanging out with friends, baton twirling and disc golf.

WE HAVE 2 ROOMS OPEN FOR RENT.

ADDITIONAL COSTS:
~~ Utilities: Internet (~$85/month total) and Gas/Electricity (~$85-200/month total) *We split utilities costs among 4 roommates*
~~ We share common house cleaning supplies like soap, TP, paper towel, etc. *We Venmo each other the split cost of these items*
~~ Move-In costs: 1st month's rent AND security deposit ($1250). The security deposit amount will be paid to the out-going tenant. Both payments are DUE BEFORE move-in date, and signature on lease agreement. Either first month's rent amount or security deposit are due to secure your spot in our home.

COVID:
We are all fully vaccinated and boosted and our new roommate should be as well.

YOU

~~ If interested, we would love to get to know you!
~~ Please provide a little blurb about yourself and, if possible, your social media/linkedIn.
Please also include:
~~ how long you think you'd be staying (approximately),
~~ if you are a student or what you do for work, or if are you somewhere in between.

Again, we are open folks who invite everyone to apply if you feel you'd be a good fit.

Thank you!
