"I've lived here for 2 years and went to school here for 4 years previously. In comparison to other major cities, it's definitely more clean and maintained. Room for improvement, but still better than New York and LA."
  • Lstoefen
"Fun and inviting area where older and younger folks can get along and enjoy a sense of community. Love living here!"
  • tara fetterolf
"Easy and squeezy………. Sometimes I feel like people need to yell at people wearing backpacks in a packed train. Like take it off"
  • tara fetterolf
"Easy peeasy but sometimes a little squeezy I ride the train downtown. Mondays and fridays are super chill. Tuesday - Thursday is pretty packed durring rush hour but is manageable "
  • Lspingola64
"Lots of park usage across the street . Many daily joggers . Popular kiddie park . Lots of respectful dog walking"
  • Jeff.lycett
"Community and greet restaurants all around. Love my neighbors and the vibe over all. Can walk to a lot of places and have short drives to dozens more"

  • Vjimenez3
"A little peaceful bubble in the middle of chaotic Chicago. I’ve lived here for over 30 years and couldn’t think of a better place than Palmer Square. "
  • Hunter Faurbo
"Lots of areas with natural grass, trees, etc. many friendly patrons love having pets in and out of their store fronts. "
  • Mileenacannella
"This is a very heavy dog neighborhood, which is nice, but very populated during walks. Unfriendly/ reactive dogs might have a difficult time going on a longer walk without running into fellow dog owners."
  • Trulia User
"Tons of dog-friendly parks and green spaces, but none that are specifically for dogs (that I know of). There also aren’t many pet supply stores in the area that aren’t specialty pet stores. High population density though, so there are plenty of potential dog walkers and dog friends to be made."
  • Reggie O.
"I lived here for 10 years and it's been a wonder to see the neighborhood grow and develop while still maintaining it's creative, youthful, tightknit community feel. Super walkable/bikeable with a substantial selection of small grocery stores, divey bars, upscale speakeasies, and restaurants. More and more chains are coming through, but the vibe is still there. Also super convenient in terms of public transit to get you downtown and the highway is nearby for anywhere else you'd want to go."
  • Trulia User
"they would really like this neighborhood very dog friendly, some places let your dog in_................... "
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User
"Logan square farmers market, live music on Sundays in Palmer Square Park in the summers, vintage pop up markets"
  • Trulia User
"There are a ton of dogs here and dog friendly restaurants and good parks. People leave their dog poop everywhere though."
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User
"Our neighborhood is located right off the Kennedy expressway in downtown is minutes away. You can also walk to the subway and be downtown within 1015 minutes. There are many walkable restaurants and stores that is why I love Logan Square"
  • Trulia User
"Dog parks are more than 1 mile away so there is not a lot of open spaces for dogs to roam if you don’t have a yard."
  • Trulia User
"Humboldt park events are fun. Wicker park fest and farmers market are nice as well. Good and affordable restaurants, and streets are well lit for the most part. "
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User
"Some Restaurants allow dogs!l there are many dog owners walking there dogs. There are several dog parks. "
  • Trulia User
"Transit is a 30-40 minute hop to the Loop or O'Hare, interstate access is close by so driving time is about half that. Metra stations are close by and the access to interstates makes getting to west and north suburbs easy, but getting to far southern suburbs can be tricky. there are some decent, and some amazing bike paths so I use those whenever possible. Honestly though, I love Logan/Humboldt and wouldn't mind if I never left."
  • Trulia User
"The food in the area is outstanding. Like really really really good. Did I reach the 100 word minimum yet or do I have to keep typing"

"There is only one scho that I know of, Darwin. Seems well enough... I don't have kids. The area is very safe though."
