I was nervous enrolling my children in this school due to the low test scores and what others said. I was wrong to worry!! My Kindergartener and First Grader have excelled during their time there. The teachers are wonderful. They are very patient with my over active little ones, and are always available to answer questions. There are so many activities that we as a family don't have time to participate in all of them. My children are in latchkey, and most of the time they beg me to stay when I pick them up. I am very impressed by the communication from the school in regards to my children. The only negatives I have are that they only have 1 recess, which doesn't seem like enough time for kids to be kids; and that the Parentlink has been down all year so I am unable to keep track of the children's progress without bothering the school (which they deal with well.) Overall very happy with this school.

East offers a range of educational opportunities from a very welcoming Special Education community to the high performing IB program and every need in between. The staff are very dedicated to student success and my daughter feels very safe there.

No child should be expected to go to a school where it's only rated a one and just twenty seven percent of youth Graduate , this is really said Something is severely wrong care.When it needs to be whipped into where is the mayor? Board of education ?

I kid you not, I was a new student, and could only stay for a SINGULAR DAY before begging my mom to switch my school because the bullying was unbearable. The staff was nice, but students here are vile. I was asked about my private areas and what gender they belonged to because I said I identified as male. By a student. In front of the teacher. For your child's safety, do not go here. On my first day, I was shoved 5 times, made fun of more than I could count, and getting my schedule took so long I never even got to see my 1st or 2nd hour. The staff is nice, but that is not a good price to pay for the kids here. The teachers honestly just seem powerless and like they've given up. The students are unbearably loud, don't listen, and as I experienced my first day, I learned not a single thing because the teachers just.... Gave up. That wasn't a classroom. That was a hangout, overrun by students with teachers too scared to take authority properly.
