Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from April 11, 2024
NEW PRICE: $585,000. Fantastic workmanship is evident in this completely renovated home with an open floor plan. Quality of workmanship and attention to detail are evident throughout. This spacious 3-story home features a primary suite occupying an entire floor. The entry is fashionably tiled leading into a spacious living room that flows into the dining area and kitchen. The dark hardwood flooring contrasts very well with the light-painted walls and ceilings. Stainless steel kitchen appliances, quartz countertops, marble backsplash, and advanced cabinetry combine to make the kitchen a chef's dream. Under cabinet lighting adds warmth and coziness to the kitchen. The 1st-floor powder room is strategically placed for convenience and does not disturb the openness of the main floor. Railings throughout have been constructed of heavier gauge iron, painted a rich black to enhance their beauty. Particular notice should be paid to the uniquely trimmed doors throughout the home. The 2nd floor features three bedrooms and a full bath. All of the bedrooms have lightly colored hardwood floors and recessed lighting. The bathroom is large and has a double vanity and a tiled walk-in shower. The Primary Suite located on the entire 3rd floor includes a spacious, bright bedroom with a walk-in closet or computer work area and two additional multi-purpose rooms that may be used as an office, den, study, nursery, library, storage, extra closet, etc. The primary bath is large with a double vanity and walk-in shower. A generously-spaced laundry room on the 3rd floor is equipped with a front-load washer and dryer. The finished basement covers about 85% of the home's footprint. It features a powder room, recessed lighting, a tall ceiling, and tiled floors. The HVAC and all mechanicals are new. Located one block from Termini Brothers Bakery and convenient to the Italian Market, Pats and Gino Steaks and close to transportation making for an easy commute or drive to the center city, airport, sporting events, restaurants, theatres, etc.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageKirkbride is a wonderful neighborhood school and if your family lives in catchment is a great opportunity! The teachers, principal and staff are all full of energy and genuinely care about the students. Walking through the halls, there are lots of murals, artwork and classroom displays. There is a well-stocked school library and an active HSA. In our experience, teachers have been very good about communicating with families through ClassDojo, report card conferences and APTT meetings. Based on the work that comes home, there are lots of opportunities for learning differentiation in the classroom and students are being taught solid skills in creative ways.Parent Review2y ago - Furness Horace High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't think the test score reflects the school's quality of education. Our students in Furness come from all where in the world. We have a very diverse student body. As a graduate student and also a valedictorian of the Furness High School, I can proundly say that our faculty members and students are great. Our test score may not as good as the other school, but our students are carrying more weight in family and it's not easy to anyone to study a new language.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1603 S 8th St.

- Crrn

"I live in this neighborhood, and with the commercial offerings along Passyunk, a grocery store and many smaller mom and pop stores, as well as drugstore chain within walking distance, life here is easy. Neighbors are multicultural which adds to the flavor of the community; parents who walk children to and from school, passersby who say hello, tree-lined streets, make this area feel welcoming and safe. Parking is generally easy and worry-free; unless you have a white panel van, which will garner graffitti quickly!"
