About this House

Backyard studio for rent in the Cherrywood neighborhood. High vaulted ceiling, massive windows with lots of sunlight. Modern kitchen with oven and dishwasher. Washer and dryer in unit. Utilities and internet included*! Fenced in backyard is great for dogs (two dogs currently live in the main house).

No dealing with impersonal real estate management - I co-own with my best friend who lives in the main house. We do right by our tenants and can provide references from our previous tenants to prove it. We feel this is only fair if we are going to ask you for references.

Cherrywood is a delightful neighborhood. Cherrywood Coffeehouse is a short walk in one direction. Many bars, cafes and restaurants on Manor Road are just a minute away in the other direction. It's a short hop away from UT if you work on campus, and also close to Mueller and all the new things opening up over there.

My co-owner and two of our other friends live in the front house, and I hang out there a lot. You don't have to hang out with us to be rent this place, but I consider the community to be a perk. Shared meals, backyard fires, mutual dog-sitting - all are on the table. My friends are all great people.

*Electric, water and internet are included with rent, but not, phone or cable tv. Internet service is Google Fiber 500 mbps which is shared with the front house.

Minimum lease is 6 months but a year would be nice.

Pets allowed, no extra fee. It would be be nice if dogs get along with our dogs (our dogs are pretty chill).

    "A great area except for 3300 Hemlock. Its a cheap rental that brings a rotation of irresponsible losers into an otherwise nice family neighborhood. There's garbage, mattresses, abandoned furniture, couches, and all sort of unappealing crap in the front yard. A real eyesore and health risk. Apparently the Hide Park owner's don't seem to care about it. Really unfortunate for an otherwise great neighborhood. "
