My son is in the 8th grade at WHA. This is his second year there and he really enjoys it. He likes the block schedule as it gives him more time to focus on one class. His teachers typically give time in class to complete homework which I love because I feel that after school time/extra curricular activities are vitally important to a child’s development. The fact that he doesn’t have to stress over homework at the end of the day has been amazing. I like that they wear uniforms. Not everyone can afford the nicest clothes and this helps everyone feel like they fit in. His teachers have been amazing, offering extra support when he needs it. Principal Salazar is such a kind woman. You can tell that she really cares about the students. Mrs Harris and Randall help keep the school safe and help the students with their emotions. The school has a wonderful special education program as well. I have been very happy with WHA.

Paul Revere Middle School should not be attended by any child who is gifted or has a 504. I asked about the GATE program and the lead counselor actually laughed. I have to distribute the 504 to the teachers ( allergies) and discovered administration did not give it to them .There are fights all the time. The administration only communicates with the head of the booster club- Pride, especially during emergencies. It's pretty much a clique with toxic parent WhatsApp groups. Working with the counselors is an absolute nightmare, they will try to discourage your child from any challenging class; I have examples but the school would know who I am and potentially take it out on my child. Additionally, the magnet is not self contained. In the tours they sell it like it is a school within a school with attention for your advanced learner. But, it is really just 1800 kids that go to school together and you are just a number. Lots of MAGA families. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRISON.

This school seems more concerned with promoting the kids who are doing well than with stopping the rampant bullying present. Children with learning differences are approached in a textbook / checklist manner and are not regarded as individuals.

Unfortunately, our experience with this school was very disappointing. The quality of education was not strong, and some teachers showed clear bias and even discriminatory behavior toward certain students. It was also concerning to see that the principal seemed to give more attention and priority to children whose families contributed more money to the school. On top of that, there were instances where some parents outside the school engaged in bullying and even used inappropriate language toward other children. A school should be a safe and supportive place for all students, but sadly, that was not our experience here.
