JSR is a treasure!! I have two kids at JSR and since we started here it’s been amazing!My daughter started in 3rd grade and my son was fortunate enough to be here from the very beginning. The staff, the faculty and administration are all wonderful, very caring and attentive. We’ve been blessed with great teachers, who have pushed and guided my kids towards excellence. Grateful to be part of the Jaguar Family.

We are writing to you today as a united group of parents, grandparents, and former students of Lamar Louise Curry Middle School. We started our online support group to ensure you know that the work you do every day is truly changing the world.When we look at our community, we see the incredible fruits of your labor. Within our group, we are so proud to share the success stories of former E.S.E. students who have reached heights many thought impossible:In the Medical Field: We have former students now working in healthcare, giving back the same compassion you once showed them.In Engineering and Science: Many of our children have become engineers and scientists, having learned to trust their own brilliant minds in your classrooms.In Business and Self-Employment: A great number of our alumni are now successful business owners, thriving because you taught them the grit and independence needed to work for themselves.We truly owe these achievements to the E.S.E. department at Curry. You turned "I can't" into "I will."Because of these successes, we feel a deep disappointment when we see negative reviews or unkind comments online. To anyone reading those: Please ignore the noise. Those comments come from people who simply do not understand the heart of this school. They don't see the late nights or the specialized attention you give every child. The critics aren't the ones who have watched their children grow into doctors, engineers, and entrepreneurs—but we are.For every negative voice, there are hundreds of us standing behind you. This school is genuinely so harmful towards students with mental health issues as they do not care for mental health. Are you depressed? Convince your parent not to come because you miss two days for said depression they will NOT care. They claim to do so and even have clubs but you try to talk with someone and all they do is give a scripted line and call your parents. My friend missed a few days because she was at the HOSPITAL for her mental health and they did not care and expelled her. It’s truly disgraceful how they don’t care for their students and all about attendance, uniform, and trying to keep a good reputation knowing full well majority of their students are struggling . Although that lies on the students behalf as well, they do not try to be involved. Do not get me started on teachers as well. Majority are dismissive, lazy, and harsh. The amount of teachers who think playing only videos and not teaching or reading the assignment without explaining (literally just reading questions and lazily repeating it in a way to seem like it’s different) is teaching. Only few teachers here actually care and that’s a very small minority. Don’t be late too you’re late by a SECOND and they act like you skipped class. They have a very serious strict attendance requirement and some teachers force you to get a late pass if you’re a little late. I understand some cases is on us but some people don’t have proper transportation like me! And the kids- don’t even get me started. You wanna avoid the genuine rude kids and disrespectful ones that think being rude to the teachers is funny? Take hard classes. Only way to avoid them is going into AP classes and some still manage to sneak in. It’s so tiring being a student here and it’s ruined my mental health so badly that I’m struggling in my classes because I don’t have the energy or will to do my work because these teachers are so useless. Just to make this clear I’m not failing any classes. To make sure this review is not out of anger though I’m sure you can sense some of it. Anyway don’t come to this school. Not worth it
