Description

Charming, Owner-Managed 3BR/2BA Home in Prime Chico Location Pet Friendly

This well-loved Chico home offers comfortable, practical living in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. We lived here for 8 years with our three children, and it was a wonderful place to raise our family before we moved across town. Great memories in this home give the home an overall good feel!

The house features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus a large, fully fenced backyard that's perfect for kids, outdoor time, and responsible pet owners. Pets are welcome, and the home even includes a doggy door, making it especially convenient for peaceful, stress-free pet living. This home works beautifully for families, Enloe employees or college students who value a calm, respectful neighborhood while still being close to Enloe, our chico campuses (Chico High, Chico State) and everyday essentials.

Rent: $2,800/month
Includes water, garbage, sewer, and landscaping
Amenities include washer & dryer, dishwasher, and central heating & air conditioning

The home is owner-managed, so tenants work directly with us no large property management company, clearer communication, and quicker responses.

A Note from Lindsey (the Owner )

One of the things we loved most about living here was how easy it was to enjoy downtown Chico while still coming home to a quiet neighborhood. A few of my personal favorites are just minutes away:

Tea Bar (downtown Chico) my favorite lunch spot, about a 5 minute drive

Bidwell Perk my go-to coffee shop, about a 5 minute drive

Beatniks a perfect breakfast or brunch spot, about a 9 minute drive

Bodega our favorite place for a great slice of pizza, about a 4 minute drive

Jon & Bon's Yogurt (downtown Chico) favorite frozen yogurt and ice cream, about a 6 minute drive

Tres Hombres amazing margaritas on the patio, about a 6 minute drive

Banshee or B-Street two of my favorite bars with AMAZING food, about about a 6 minute drive

AND places to take a nice walk to in the morning:
Nashs Restaurant~ About an 8 minute walk
Dutch Bros-About an 9 minute walk
Red Tavern for the BEST outdoor patio and dining!- about a 12 minute walk

It's been such a gift being able to enjoy all that Chico has to offer while living in a peaceful, family-friendly part of town. And honestly there are sooo many more great spots!

"It’s very peaceful a lot of the time! Sometimes there will be fireworks around holidays and weirdos speeding, but other than that, it’s nice"
  • Trulia User
"Lots of people walk their dogs, very few pick up after them and most couldn’t care less about leash laws. It is quite unfortunate considering Chico is home to so many parks."
  • Joann.bettencourt
"Block parties, pot lucks, tight knit community. Cul de sac where kids can run and play while parents socialize."
  • Tommyross20
"-Farmers market -Local restaurants and taco trucks are some of the best food you’ll eat. -Being close to chico state campus adds being able to have a gym close by. "
  • Kim T.
"Lots of students, within walking area of college and downtown area. Definitely not for families, college life!"
  • Carmen
"Farmers market Bidwell Lots of outdoor activity and close to good schoolsAble to ride your bike anywhere from this point and close the hospital Chico state theater arts good culture character of homes in the area easy access to the freewaysIt is affordable for young families in a good place to raise childrenThis is a place someone would want to stay for the rest of their life even long after the children are gone and have finish school"
  • Bkeen19
"we do church events and help feed the homeless, we have a christmas and summer stroll down plumas street during their seasons, and walk to local gas stations. The community is calm and quite and it in the middle of the country. "
  • Joann b.
"The neighbors are super friendly. Great place to raise kids. Houses are custom, neighborhood is safe. Everyone knows each other. Lots of kids. The best neighborhood in Chico. "
  • rhs
"Good area for families and serious college students/young professionals. Its about a 15 min bike ride to the university/downtown & Chico high school. There is a small and clean park near by for dogs and a pretty good elementary school. An fancy Chinese restaurant and Omelette/Dining house is in a walking distance. Massage and spa near. But most of your entertainment needs will be downtown or on the east side of town which is still only a 10 min drive away or 15-20 biking (such as movie theaters). Not many college students live around here and the ones that do are pretty peaceful. The train is nearby but it is never bothersome and esplanade street can get crowded during 8am (work and highschool/univesity) and off hours 5pm. However, Chico "traffic" means it takes you 15 minutes instead of 10 mins to get across town. Which is honestly still pretty good compared to other cities."
