Follow up from November. We are the Guardians of a special needs child who is an escape artist and has certainly been demanding on the schools staff. I am happy to report that the teachers and staff have been excellent, providing lots of attention and learning opportunities for our child. Our child needs extra work on communication and situational awareness. The best improvements in speech and empathy so far have come from the work at this elementary school. LWSD has speech therapists on staff and they do a great job in just a few hours per week. This staff has been amazing for us. We are one of the families constantly asking questions and needing.. everything. patience, meetings, reminders etc. The school staff have been patient at every outburst or crisis, always respectful and very safety minded. The Principle and Vice Principal both have put in long hours giving leadership and attention to the needs of the population of children, parents and the school staff. Phone calls get returned. Plans get followed. Learning happens. It's really good. These people are obviously caring, intelligent and responsible professionals. They respond to problems and disagreements with dignity and solutions. We are back this fall to continue our child's education.

I absolutely love this school! Honestly, when I think back to my elementary school days, I wasn't exactly "attached," but Rose Hill? I can't imagine leaving. It feels like home—minus the endless laundry and sibling drama. One of the best things about Rose Hill is the community vibe. The teachers, staff, and students really work to create a supportive, inclusive environment. It’s the kind of place where you’re not just focused on grades but also on making connections, building friendships, and growing as a person.The teachers here are next-level amazing. They're so passionate and genuinely care about helping you succeed. There’s one teacher in particular who throws a talent show and an original play every year. I mean, where else are you going to get a chance to perform in a play written by your teacher and see your classmates show off their secret talents? It’s always a blast, and the creativity that goes into these events is impressive. Honestly, if I had a dollar for every time someone nailed a performance or surprised us with a talent we didn’t know they had, I'd be rich.Now, of course, it's not perfect. I mean, this is still school, not a utopia. Like anywhere, there have been a few fights here and there—drama happens—but hey, that's just part of life at any school. You get a mix of personalities, and sometimes, it’s just a matter of finding the right people to hang out with. But that’s the beauty of Rose Hill—it has everything you need: great teachers, fun events, and a community that has your back (even when you accidentally spill your lunch on the gym floor).Overall, I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Rose Hill is more than just a school; it’s a place where you can be yourself, have fun, and grow. And if you find yourself in the middle of a random drama? Well, at least you'll have a cool talent show to look forward to.
