5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLet me start with saying that I was very excited to be sending my son to this school for second grade. It was a short walk from home, completely re built . Fresh and inviting. Through out the year we learned the harsh truth that this school over all was not only unsupprtive, but harmful to my son's emotional well being. He was being bullied relentlessly in our neighborhood and those same kids were continuing the harassment and physical abuse at school. Everytime a meeting ended I felt good about the plans to resolve this issue , only to find that it would last for about a week and then it was the same thing over again. It got to the point where I didn't feel my son was safe going to that school. I pulled him out early . Biggest disappointment I've faced with my son's education. He was so traumatized he didn't even want to play with his friends out front because he was afraid the 5th graders would come over . Yes, fifth graders were bullying a second grader. All they wanted to talk about near the end was the fact I was keeping him home. I informed them I would gladly bring my lawyer into court if that's what they felt they needed to do. I never heard from them again. Don't choose this school if you have another option. My son is now moving in with his dad full time so he can be at a different school. I've had him full time since pre K. This has been devastating for me and my entire family . Most of all my son.Parent Review6mo ago - Gov John Rogers High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTotally disagree! Emerald ridge is awful!!! I've had 3 kids go to ER and there is clicks, fights, bullying, vehicle vandelism, drugs, and no control couple with a lousey education. One child attended Rogers, freindly , welcoming and inviting! Smaller and much more family oriented!!! DONE WITH ER!!!Parent Review9y ago - Doris Stahl Junior High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would honestly objectively give this school a 2/5. But I decided to have it as a 3/5, the reasons are that every students experience differ from mine. I am a 9th grader ready to graduate next semester, and I have a lot of good moments during my 3 years in junior high. Was is all great? Heck no! These were some of my lowest points in my life! But I pulled through, and I enjoyed my time making new (but few) friends, and my time with grades have been decent. I don't think this is the best place for people with any learning problems whatsoever, they will just have a harder time with what they are given. If you want to have a school where your student will grow as a person and learn the most amount? No, there are plenty of other schools that do far better than that, especially in the Puyallup school district. But if you live close to Stahl, or do not have any other option. It is a decent school, not one which many will have a lot of fond memories, but definitely be enough to get them into high school. These are just my experiences as a B-A student, and my perspective may be totally different from someone else. So take my words as you will, and go to the school that best fits any student.Student Review5y ago - Check out schools near 15658 86th Ave E.

"I know of a neighborhood clean up but no special events held in our neighborhood. The schools often have fun events for kids to come and have fun which I think is awesome for the kids to come and see the different events being held. "

"Great. Meridian is smooth sailing. I leave work at 2 to get home by 5:30. Most days it takes me 2.5 hours to get home from Seattle. Traffic is horrible around here. But who can afford to live close to I-5"

"There are Coyotes in our neighborhood, some small pets have disappeared, we lost two dogs and two outdoor cats since we’ve lived here for 12+ years. The two dogs were killed by our neighbors dog, right after they moved in ? Pretty sure the Coyotes got our cats ?"

"There are none, with exception to some private parties if your invited ? We have met a few of our neighbors, by selling chicken and duck eggs to them. Our area isn’t perfect, we have a few spoiled brats and irresponsible people in our neighborhood, but, they eventually get caught by the pierce county sheriffs! "
