This is a great school where the staff genuinely care about the students, and my children truly feel seen and valued. I really appreciate the cultural and physical diversity among the staff—it creates a welcoming and inclusive environment. The teachers my boys have had so far have been wonderful; they feel like family away from home. While I do wish there were more recreational activities available, overall, the school and its staff are outstanding, and we truly love being part of this community.

The schools feels like a community. It isn't just a school of students, it is a school of brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles. Hence, IS339 is an amazing school.

First things first, I am a recent graduate for the class of 2024. Honestly speaking, I know no high-school is perfect. I would say that this school has a lot of character: fights happen here and there, people with fiery personalities, etc. There are those who put in the work to just get out, others don't really care and the school passes them anyway ( I mean who wouldn't, why would you keep full grown adults who can't keep their life together. They'll either figure out or die trying). Teachers here actually do care about your education. I built many connections with my teachers not because I was their favorite but because I actually put in the work and cared about my education. You can't believe how many people criticize you for actually caring about your academics, it's actually insane. If you give a teacher respect, they'll give you the same in return. You'll find good people, there are friends who actually rub off on you in a good way. There are those who are hardworking, who actually want to succeed in life that you will build healthy relationships with. You just have to know what to look for. If you do attend this school or are considering it, just know what you are getting yourself into. This school doesn't offer many AP courses, the surrounding area isn't the greatest, and you'll find some nasty people. However, it's really up to you, there are people to support you. The counselors are friendly and understanding and you can't be afraid of asking for help if needed. You have to grind type of mindset. Whatever you do, use the 4 years of high school wisely. Take advantage of every opportunity this school offers. If you do, I hope you get into the best school possible. I'm currently an RIT student (Rochester Institute of Technology). No many of the class of 2024 went beyond community college. Sure it's not the worst option but push yourself for the best. If you think you have what it takes to go somewhere that will challenge you and help in your success, then go for it, apply to 4 year schools and make your stance. Don't let the guidance counselors convince you to go to community college if you really don't want to. So, I hope this description helps you out in your decision if you even read this or even find it lol.
