6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIncredible!! I went to this school in 1971! I went to lots of schools but nothing could compare to Ruby Thomas. It was a babysitter. We "pitched" football cards like coins. The one that got closest to the wall won. That's what we did most of the day. There WAS NO SCHOOLING AT ALL. It was amazing. And it sounds like it hasn't changed much.Other Review3y ago2 Reviews - Valley High School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is nice however the new principal cares only about the reputation and pleasing other than actually making this school a better, safer, and educational institution. A lot of the performing arts programs are dying out slowly. Its sad to be apart of it and seeing such great programs such as Mariachi and Orchestra die out. The students here are entitled, and rude. Especially towards teacher complaining to them about “difficult” assignments and pushing further due dated even though they do have enough time they get easy work it is the laziness of students in this school and the entitlement of these students thinking that everything should go their way, and a lot of the times if not always it does go their way. There is boys in the girl’s locker room, their Physical Education class (Gym) is a mess. Half of their staff don’t even know each other. The Folklorico teacher is rude and very unorganized. This school allows their dance students to twerk and dance very sexualized dances. The lunch food is disgusting, programs are favored such as STUCO, band, and dance are more funded and taken care of more than other programs that is why other programs are dying out. Teachers swear in their classrooms, a lot of the teachers don’t even teach, students are disgusting they leave their trash everywhere this school does not enforce any rule at all they only take away rights of students and expect them to understand that is a consequence or why they even took it in the first place. The dress code is horrible, there is girls wearing extremely tight clothes, barely any clothes, all of them wear crocs and sandals despite the dangers especially in science or physical classes. Oh? How could I forget? This school waits last minute to tell their students the many opportunities they can get such as the graduation colors, dual-credit classes, honors classes, the classes they need to graduate, the types of classes they need to take for their career’s, that they are missing credits, that they can’t graduate they stop 20 STUDENTS FROM WALKING IN THEIR GRADUATION FOR THE 2023 GRADUATION CEREMONY!!! This school is completely unorganized and disgusting, it was a really good school before 2020.Other Review2y ago3 Reviews - William E Orr Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has a meager budget. Most of the teachers don't care about their students, they curse, they yell, and sometimes they write students up for no reason. The students at this school are also disrespectful, they bully, and cuss each other out. In my experience, Students just don't care. Last year this girl thought I was talking about her, though I wasn't. So then the next day she caught me by surprise and beat me up, she kept hitting my head and pulling my hair, and my head hurt for days. I didn't want to go back to school for the rest of the week, but I had the courage. I know students were talking about me, and I didn't care, because I was worried about me, not the school or the students. My parents hate this school but had no choice but to send me here. This was the closest school to where I live, all of the other schools were too far away from here and my family didn't have a car and they didn't want me to ride a school bus because there have been a lot of accidents on school buses. My parents just want me to be and feel safe. If my parents are at school with me right now then they would be writing a review too. I just wanted to write a review because I believe it is right to be honest about this school, Most of the students either hate it here or don't feel safe here.Student Review2y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near 1520 E Viking Rd #1.

"Dog owners would likely appreciate living this neighborhood with ample green spaces, such as parks or open fields, where they can walk and play with their dogs. Access to pet-friendly amenities like dog parks or pet stores would also be a plus. On the flip side, they might not like living in an area with strict leash laws or limited access to outdoor spaces suitable for dogs. Issues like noisy environments, lack of sidewalks, or unfriendly neighbors could also be drawbacks for dog owners."

"There are a lot of drug addicts in my neighborhood, as well as homeless people. A lot of dogs that have gotten loose (they’re typically sweet). And I see the cops quite a bit. "

"There are many differences dogs in the area. It’s safe and the neighborhood is dog/cat friendly! Many people give dogs treats to the dogs in the neighborhood. You’d be happy with this neighborhood with all the dogs! There are some neighbors that break the SJ township ordinance and have 10 dogs that are often known to bark at 5am in the morning! "

"I've lived here for almost 3 yrs and I have not heard of any type of events nor have I hardly seen anyone decorate for any holidays. You hardly get a "Hello" from any neighbors, and everyone constantly speeds in the area with complete disregard for the safety of the children that do try to come outside and play every once in a blue moon. when people pick their kids up after school it's a complete nightmare, with people blocking driveways and standing in your yard. there is literally only one lady that I know for a fact in this neighborhood that goes around and picks up trash and dog feces, her own dog and others who leave it behind. The only good comment I can say about this neighborhood is that it can be quite at times. However, we do get a lot of solicitations here!!! "

"Nothing special about the area adide from it's close to the strip. I guess we're just lucky to have good and nice neighbors. Kids from 3 and up are everywhere and 80% of them are very rude and do not have parents watching them. "
