About this House

We are subletting our 2-bedroom apartment in downtown Madison. It is available from May 11 2026 until August 15, 2026.

Centrally located, it's a 10-minute walk to the Capitol. There is a nearby bus stop with lines going throughout the town. Wonderful view of the Mendota lake and James Madison Park.

The apartment is furnished, located on the 2nd floor, spacious, very bright and cozy, quiet, and equipped with everything you may need. No central air conditioning but there is a new window air conditioner that cools the room perfectly during hot days.

The furniture cannot be removed, but all the drawers, desks, shelves, etc., will be emptied for you.

Coin-operated washers ($2) and dryers ($1.50) are located in the basement.

The price (2,000) includes rent, heat, water, electricity, internet. The parking is not included, you will have to apply for a parking spot separately with our rental company.

The security deposit is one month of rent.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the apartment. No smoking inside the apartment.

    "Have lived downtown for 10 years. Love it. So much to do, restaurants, entertainment. The lakes. Easy access to public transportation. "

    "I don’t see as many families in the new multi-level apartment buildings (the high rises). There are some families living downtown, but they might be in condos. The west and east sides outside the square and campus housing have many more families. Downtown is great for the children’s museum, farmers market, and monona terrace has live music, etc. sometimes. Outside of the square, there are nice parks for kids and families with play sets and beaches."

    " I love we're I live people are friendly helpful .I've lived here for 19 years love it here it's close to grocery store has stations in walking distance also close to bus stop the school is closed very good school .people are so nice and caring I actually sleep with door unlocked many times how often can you do that in other places I feel very safe here .
