This school literally sucks #student I wish it actually had any organization or communication. Really expensive you have to pay a 60 fee to park

As a parent, today’s experience with the school was extremely concerning and frustrating. We received a notification that the school was under a soft lockdown due to a dangerous individual in the area—reportedly less than a tenth of a mile away. Naturally, with the school day nearing dismissal and no follow-up communication provided, I called to get clarity on whether the lockdown had been lifted and what that meant for student safety.When I called, Shelly answered and initially responded to my question, but then abruptly hung up on me while I was in the middle of asking a follow-up. Assuming it was accidental, I called back and politely let her know the call had been disconnected. She apologized, and I continued by asking whether dismissal procedures would be affected given the circumstances.Her response was that dismissal would proceed as normal, which was confusing and concerning. If the situation was serious enough to warrant a lockdown, it raises valid questions about how it could simultaneously be safe to release students—especially those walking or biking—into the same area moments later. Before I could even ask that follow-up question, she hung up on me again.In a situation involving potential danger near a school, communication should be clear, patient, and respectful. Parents are simply trying to ensure the safety of their children. Hanging up on a parent not once, but twice, while they are asking reasonable safety-related questions is unacceptable. At minimum, it is standard practice in any professional setting to ask if there is anything else you can assist with before ending a call.This experience left me feeling dismissed, unheard, and deeply unsettled during an already stressful situation. I hope the school takes steps to improve both its communication protocols and staff responsiveness when it comes to student safety.

its a shame that we allow these schools to be overrun by a civic agenda rather than an actual academic curriculum.
