Large dining room allows for dining up to 10. Office/Library on main floor makes for great work-from-home arrangement. Large entry way makes for a dramatic and stately introduction. Living room has bumped-out sunroom that is wonderful for relaxing and reading a book during any season. Updated bathrooms with tile floors and jet-tub. Large bedrooms accommodate King-sized beds and plenty of furniture - no new home can match this. Patio right off the kitchen and terraced / landscaped yard makes for a very private outdoor room - yet just a block from downtown festivals, businesses & churches.


Stately Italianate brink home has solid bones and unique details. Additions over the years enclosed porches to accommodate more living space and bathrooms, but done in such a way that it seems to be a part of the whole and not an after-thought. Brick was tuck-pointed in 2008 so it has been restored for strength & appearance. Home is built on a terraced lot (Think San Francisco), with the street level being below the home level and the back yard a terrace up from the home level. The house-level creates a very private setting and a natural sight-line difference that makes enjoying the patio easy and free of distractions or unwanted guests. The sandstone retaining wall in the front and the foundation slabs were all cut locally of the same stone that lined the canals in the area in the early-1800's. Large carriage barn has access from alley and has three car spaces and plenty of storage. Well-maintained house and garage since I bought the home in 1996. Always keep up on painting and winterizing in order to protect the integrity of the historic structure.

This area isn't to bad but I would nit recommend my apartments to anyone. They are invested with drugs, bugs and and slum lords. But the houses and area around are very decent."

    "I’ve lived in this area from birth until 19 or 20 I moved away for about 15 years maybe a few more growing up it was a safe area neighbors friendly could leave your door unlocked I would not really be able to say the same now as most of small town USA it has been taken over by drug pushers and users this area is known for methamphetamine use and manufacturing wish it was how I remember it growing up but I still wouldn’t say it’s the worst area it’s just not as wholesome as it once was"
