We moved to this school after my oldest had attended two other elementary schools. Mount Carmel is far beyond either of the other schools. The transparency is great when it comes to school work and the teachers have helped my kid work through emotional issues with kindness and attention.

"I’ve lived here for 25 years. Safe friendly neighborhood. Police come through regularly. Has a good mix of older and younger people. Great walkable streets. City provides garbage and brush pickup also. Street are due a repave. Only complaint is the water sewer bill is too high. Snow removal is fair. Convenient to Carters valley and to 11w. Only 15 min from Kingsport. "

"it's a quit neighborhood. located away from the city with no thru traffic and generally great Neighbors mostly older couples and retirees. "

"Mount Carmel is a well run, family friendly peaceful, clean and safe place to live. My wife and I have found the community to be supportive and the city services are very good and the city personnel are friendly and responsive. A great place to live."
