We have had a truly wonderful experience with Woodlands Elementary School in Longwood, and I am very grateful for the positive impact this school has had on our daughter and our family.From the beginning, the entire staff has been welcoming, friendly, and supportive. Every morning during drop-off and every afternoon at pick-up, staff members were kind, organized, and respectful. Those daily interactions may seem small, but they made a big difference in creating a warm and safe environment for both students and parents.Whenever we had questions, concerns, or special arrangements regarding who would pick up our child, the staff were always cooperative, understanding, and helpful. Their communication and willingness to work with families made us feel supported and confident that our child was in good hands.The school also does a wonderful job creating a positive community atmosphere. The events and activities organized by the school were enjoyable, thoughtful, and helped families feel connected. One thing that stood out to me was seeing the principal personally greeting students in the mornings. That personal touch says a lot about the school’s culture and the care they show toward the children.I would especially like to recognize Mr. Gaughan, our daughter’s kindergarten teacher, who is honestly one of the best teachers I have ever encountered. His teaching style, patience, knowledge, and genuine care for his students were truly exceptional. He had a remarkable ability to make learning engaging, exciting, and meaningful for young children.He didn’t just teach academic subjects; he helped students develop discipline, responsibility, confidence, curiosity, and respectful behavior. It was clear that he cared deeply about helping each child grow, learn, and succeed. As a parent, I could genuinely see how much effort, dedication, and passion he brought into his classroom every day.Watching my daughter’s growth, excitement for learning, and happiness about going to school was one of the most reassuring and rewarding experiences as a parent. We are incredibly thankful for everything Woodlands Elementary School and Mr. Gaughan done for our child.I highly recommend this school to families looking for a caring, supportive, and positive learning environmen

If you're a parent considering high school options and looking for a school that genuinely prioritizes academics and the best interests of its students, Lake Mary High School is not that school.The lack of support, communication, and accountability we’ve experienced from both educators and administration is unlike anything I’ve encountered before. Families should not have to fight this hard for timely responses, academic guidance, or basic student support — especially when graduation requirements and a child’s future are on the line.At this point, the level of disconnect is something the school board should be ashamed of.

Great school for my daughter. She has several great friends in her peer group. This is her third year there. She is in honors classes and in the honor society. She is on a sports team and loves her experience there. No problem with any teachers. Administration has been very responsive. My daughter has had no problems with other students, no bullying, no fights, no issues the entire time.Really nice campus in a nice area as well.Some of the negative reviews seem to be parents who expect absolute perfection and are looking for a reason to bash the school. Name one middle school where kids don't get into fights sometimes. Parents who complain haven't been to some of the orange county or Miami/dade schools where half the teachers are substitutes.
