About this House

This gorgeous apartment features freshly refinished parquet floors from the 1850s, an updated kitchen with quartz counters, new appliances, a new tiled bathroom, and new paint, with two huge bedrooms, one with built-in glass-doored bookcases, stained glass windows, and an ornate carved fireplace. Artisan tilework featured on the surround. The other bedroom has a massive fireplace, a sitting area with custom wood carvings surrounding it. Ten-foot ceilings throughout with priceless mahogany doors and trimwork. In total, three elaborate, decorative fireplaces provide focal areas within the three great rooms that comprise the apartment. Built from the 1850s - 1870s, this Grand Victorian is quiet and private; they don't build them like this anymore! The building is situated on nine acres of land, with a trail, eight minutes from Route 495.

Approximately a mile from home, there is a lake for a cooling swim or to catch the last rays of sun before dinner. There's a changing room and a lifeguard for your security. In the spring and fall, head down the road to kayak on the numerous lakes and rivers. If you want a change of pace from the onsite trails, head 5 minutes away to the Upton State Forest. In winter, skate, ice fish or play hockey on one of the neighborhood lakes.

14 Minutes to Tufts Veterinary School, an hour to downtown Boston, less to Cambridge, 20 minutes to downtown Worcester...The MBTA Commuter Rail Train is only 10 minutes away.

Please note: Common heat, water, and trash disposal, as well as snow removal and groundskeeping, are included in the monthly rent amount. The tenant is responsible for electricity, renters' insurance, and internet WiFi services.

An armoire is provided in the living room, and the bedroom. Also included is a huge dresser for the bedroom.

Electricity, including mini split, heat pumps paid by tenant. Please arrange for cellular internet Wi-Fi only (not cable).

Tiny pets MAY be considered but ONLY with preapproval. No surprise pets please. Additional monthly pet fee if a mutual arrangement is agreed upon.

"I've lived in Upton now for almost a Decade and it's an amazing town. The community is amazing, people are respectful, lots of community events, lots of recreational areas from Kiwanis beach, Upton State Park, Peppercorn Hill Conservation Area and other location, the schools are excellent, teachers care about the students, great academic and athletic departments. Upton truly is a place you can raise a family and feel safe."
  • Kristy G. B.
"Must leave early to get to Boston or Boston area. Early is 6:30 or leave after 9 am. There is a lot of traffic going East, but is going on the other direction not as bad. There is not a lot of traffic on the town, but on the boarders of all surrounding towns there is traffic at peak hours."
  • Kristy G. B.

"Small, friendly neighborhood town. Great neighbors. Awesome school system. Safe town. No chain stores or chain restaurants. All Ma & Pop shops and family owned restaurants."

"I have lived here for 2 years and it has already topped all the 10 other places i lived in, it is very clean, and my kids get a great education at the two high schools and one elementary school. All the people here are so nice and friendly. There are loads of places to walk and hang out, and it is great for kids, there is one park and baseball field, and there is another public park at the Elementary school. Upton is a Great place to live!"
