3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would like to start by saying this school is highly political. It's about who you know. I put my children in this school in the middle of 7th grade and they have been targets every since. I would just say if your children didn't start in this school, placing them here would be a mistake. My children are not "bad", however the teachers email and call me as though they are the baddest children in the school. I find that hard to believe when my children come home everyday with stories of fights and THEY ARE NOT APART OF THEM!!! WITH THE CALLS AND EMAILS I FIND IT HARD TO BELEIVE THAT THE TEACHERS ARE TEACHING IF THEY ARE DOING THIS WITH ALL STUDENTS THAT ARE MISBEHAVING......Parent Review1y ago - Heather Hill Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at this school was a bit dramatic and judge mental. I joined at the last grade level and yes there’s some pretty nice teachers. But no, most students aren’t really that nice. They assume a lot about you. Gossip also spreads around quick. So maybe it’s a little in the middle school. No, it’s not perfect. The teachers here are also very passionate about keeping their jobs and learning. The end of the year trips are so fun and enjoyable too. Overall i love this school but something is just about student behavior. In my class, nobody would listen nor stay quiet.Other Review10mo ago - Homewood-Flossmoor High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved to HF from a neighboring community and I have been very pleased with my experience here. I didn't get the best educational experience at my previous district and the high school had a bad reputation so we came to HF. Overall, the school is great. There are two buildings on campus and students have to get to the other building within a short period of time, so it gives you a college feel. The new principal has been a wonderful addition to the school, starting the dad squad program last year and creating more incentives for students. There are a ton of athletics and activities to get involved in like theatre, gymnastics, track, lacrosse, robotics, band, and many more. The counselors are very helpful and make sure everyone has a plan before they leave HF. My counselor encouraged me to enroll in more rigorous classes to prepare me for college. Even though some of the more rigorous classes like the AP and IB classes can be rough, the counselor and teachers make sure you are supported and that you have all of the resources you need to be successful. Many students leave HF and end up going to top colleges in Chicago and across the country. HF is definitely a school I would recommend.Other Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 1426 Douglas Ave.

"I drive daily for work, church, and other responsibilities and driving through/exiting my subdivision is never an issue. Even traffic on the streets throughout Country Club is fine, it only becomes an issue at times when there is construction (like now near I-57). Otherwise commute is good."
