4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish you would take another look at CMS. The staff has worked hard to turn the school around. While not perfect and always a work in process, there is now a brand new school with evolved safety, a new community schools program, an emphases on equity and inclusion and an evolving alternative to suspensions program that emphasizes community and belonging strategies. There is also a beautiful garden developing with a funded program for its use that the students and community participate in.There is an elementary school, Rodeo hills, which is in Rodeo and attached to this District. The entire district has been working extensively on all of the strategies above for several years. Unfortunately change comes slow, but we are evolving.Other Review2y ago3 Reviews - Rodeo Hills Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy grandkids have no Science Classs at Grade 3? His Math has no mastery of multiplication nor division. Best part is the free lunch & summer school help them a bit. No bully experience with my grandson, once with my granddaughter but later became friends with the boy.Other Review2y ago8 Reviews - John Swett High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy children went to Catholic private elementary and middle schools so this was our first real experience of public school. We did an out of district transfer to John swett school district based on the high rating this school was getting. My child was very nervous in the first week but two years on, i can tell you it was the best decision i made. The teachers are dedicated and fun. Admin headed by a very motivated principal are courteous and helpful. Discipline is quite amazingly implemented.I would recommend this school to anyone who does not want to pay close to $65,000 for four years of private high school and still get a wonderful education for their kids.Parent Review11y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 1415 Dover.

"Terrible. Must leave no later than 530AM to avoid a 2 hr+ commute. Hercules is less than 30 miles from SD. The 80 toll is a bottleneck "

"Very active Halloween- everyone in town floods our neighborhood. Great recreation area- dog walkers, family bike rides, very close/great access to the Bay Trail. Once a year we’ve had Food trucks on Bayfront, just a block away. We used to have a multicultural festival first week d of June and Fireworks co-hosted by Hercules and Pinole."

"Commute is bad when rush hour! Have to leave early to avoid bad traffic! A cop likes to check on early commuters at one stop sign by 5:35am! If you do not stop completely by the stop sign where is still residential , you will get a ticket! The cop is always hiding by the stop sign to catch you! "

"None. This neighborhood reminds me of a commuter school. Not that I’m complaining but I have nothing in common with my neighbors age/profession/income/interests. Only benefit is it’s close to the city and easy fwy access. "

"It's a pretty place to live and very quite unless your neighbor has a barking dog. Then you need to get the HOA and Humane Society involved and it does take time before anything is resolved. Hercules has no industry except a Luckys, Home Depot, Wells Fargo, Post Office, library and various other smaller shops. You'll need to drive to Richmond (10 minute drive) for the closest Target and movie theatre. Or you can drive out to Concord/Walnut Creek. If you are single, unless you perfer to stay in most of the time, this is NOT an area you want to live in. If you don't mind driving or BARTing to SF every weekend then you'll be okay. Overall, I do like it because it is quite and clean but I seriously miss SF. I am 55 and single and it's the arts I miss the most as well as being able to walk rather than drive where I want to go."

"I am retired but commuted to San Francisco for 22 years from this location. The transportation to San Francisco is excellent especially since Hercules added the Lynx bus which goes none stop to San Francisco. There is also a transit center with buses to BART. There are two parks within the facility with walking paths and a fenced swimming pool. This is a one owner home in a quiet bedroom community. "
