"Fantastic park space and bike path walk to everything and don't even need a car so Brandon can't control you...yay"
  • Trulia User
"Great place to live and work. we have lived here since 2002! Great restaurants and local shopping. Great parks and public spaces."
  • Trulia User
"I have the perfect commute! I walk 7 lovely blocks past old and new brick townhouses, charming courtyards and gated alleys. People take pride in their homes and plantings. "
  • Trulia User
"Farmers markets, parks, restaurants, stores, accessible history and people from so many different cultures and backgrounds make Old Town and Old Town North great places to live."
  • Joelle D.
"Old Town North is evolving into a vibrant art and food scene. Recent residential and mixed use construction plus restaurant openings have added to the vibrancy of this neighborhood. Oronoco and Tidelock Parks provide multiple ways to enjoy the riverfront. Native plants are being introduced in smaller parks, and composting is easy with collection every Saturday at the Old Town Farmers Market within easy walking distance."
  • Dmcamp610
"None. This is not a friendly community. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. We do love the walk ability to many restaurants. "
  • Nicolegreen02
"So I actually love being near the airport. Both for easy travel and to watch planes. DCA is held to the Nighttime Noise Rule and most flights operate btwn 7 AM and 10 PM. Aside from that you are right next to the river and the trail. You can walk to the King St waterfront but there is also plenty in walking distance in Old Town North if you don't feel like going anywhere. It's a beautiful, convenient location and fun through all four seasons."
  • Lisa S.
"Views of the Potomac - crew, sailboats, the water. So many walkable destinations: restaurants, library, Metro, Trader Joes, farmer markets, Harris Teeter, parks, shops, the Post Office, and all sorts of interesting old historic houses. Amazing place to live. Best thing about Old Town North -- you are close to King Street, but away from the tourists."
  • Garblegarble
"The constant overhead airplane traffic. It’s great. The planes fly both directions, so they are constantly making noise. If you like sleep, don’t move to Old Town North. Old Town South is much better for limited noise."
  • Joelle D.
"Some of my favorite neighborhood features include: a 24 hour Harris Teeter grocery store, Trader Joe's, VABC, library, restaurants, post offices, waterfront parks, and a metro all within walking distance. We also have the art annex, a dog park, tennis courts and farmers markets. Add to that the historic charm and night life of King Street just blocks away and why would we live anywhere else?"
  • Joelle D.
"We have many parks, including waterfront, tennis, dog parks, etc. we have two grocery stores within 2 blocks, and an art center across the street where painting and sculpture classes happen year round."
