9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter loved going to Carmenita. She truly thrived there. The staff is amazing and supportive. The principal knows how to connect with the kids. He constantly encourages them to get better grades. He is a true mentor the kids respect and love him. Overall a great school. Yes you might have to invest in math tutoring like all the public schools in CA. But socially and emotionally the school is the best.Parent Review11mo ago7 Reviews - Cerritos High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have no idea how this place has a reputation of a “good school.” Everything about this place is messed up and no one cares to fix it. Most classes are spent either self-taught or the teacher is cursing the students out for not understanding. I basically have to look up whatever unit we’re on because we don’t learn anything. It sucks for the very few teachers that actually try to do their job because my classmates are shouting pervy things to each other or the teacher. My classmates casually walk out of the campus vaping and the staff who literally stand out the gate don’t even notice. The electives are trash because all they have are boring “educational” classes with those trashy teachers. Most of my classmates ended having to go to summer school because they couldn’t complete their credits, so I have no idea where the high test scores are coming from. Yes, I’ve tried emailing the principal and I never got a response. In short, this place is where you got to rot. I guess the only good thing about this place is that I’m graduating in a few years.Where’s your “Gold Standard,” Cerritos?Student Review10mo ago12 Reviews - Cecil B. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers at this school are truly exceptional, and I feel fortunate to have them guiding my child's educational journey.Mrs. Kawanomi and Mr. Ives are two standout educators who have made a significant impact on my child's learning. Their dedication, patience, and passion for teaching are evident in everything they do. They create a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages students to grow, explore, and thrive. But what really sets Stowers Elementary apart is its fabulous array of programs that cater to diverse interests and talents. The school offers an excellent Chinese language program, which has been a fantastic opportunity for my child to learn about a new culture and language. The Band and Theater programs are also outstanding, providing students with a platform to express themselves creatively and build confidence. The entire staff at Stowers Elementary School is committed to providing a well-rounded education that extends beyond the classroom. From academics to arts and culture, this school truly has it all.I highly recommend Stowers Elementary School to any family seeking a top-notch educational experience.Parent Review1y ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near 14121 1/2 Shoemaker Ave #67.

"A lot of people do not pick up their dog poop when they are walking their dogs around the area. The parking situation also sucks so make sure you have your own designated parking area in your apartment "

"Nothing. With all the chain restaurants we are just like every other city. There is not much in the way of history anymore. The current city council wants big business, not small family owned and run business "

"We have different types of events in the parks where parents can take their kids or they can walk to use the basketball courts, swim and bbq. The city has a a lot of free events for the people could attend such as city hall events, Carnival and bands etc. you have store and Resturant at walking or close distance. At one time had cows but still you can see horses since many homes have horse homes. People are friendly and welcoming in the area. I have lived in Norwalk since the 80’s and still feel safe. There are shopping center, theaters, nail and hair shops etc. at one time we closed the street for the 4th of July and enjoyed each other potluck in the front of the house. After majority of people died or felt the younger family do other things. "
