"Great school system. Many options for kids including sports teams, community programs, up and revitalized downtown offers great experiences for kids, like an old fashioned ice cream shop and a candy store."
  • Francisco Barrera
"New to this area, but the small little downtown seems very promising with new restaurants and coffee shops. It also host festivals like the rice festival and a bbq one as well. "
  • Jason Sonnier

"People are always out walking their dogs. I don’t think there’s a problem with people picking up after them either. Everyone is pretty friendly and will wave if they don’t even know you. "
  • Gymman77
"Great public schools and a very good and safe place to raise a family.. The area is very clean there are convenient grocery stores and gas stations but real estate is very expensive and property taxes are too high....."
  • Trulia User
"I really like the school district and I feel safe allowing my children to play out side in this area"
  • Aaron S.

  • Tammie B.
"I’ve lived here 21 years. It’s a great community. People take pride in their homes; the school district is great. "
  • Jacqueline N.
"Wonderful area, quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend living here. Cannot comment on the school or zoning. "
  • fighttothegrave
"I was raised a couple doors down from this house so I am very familiar with this area. The house I was in was 1027 Dallas Street. This place is excellent for any family to live and the school district is fonominal. I am still in high school in my Junior year, but when I graduate, this will be my first suggestion if the offer is still open. If the offer has been closed, I will just find another house in this area because this place is the best!"
  • jreeves1
"Close to the water but way up on Grigsby's Bluff so, there have never been any flooding issues, even during hurricanes!. There aren't many places in town where you can wave at the ships from your own yard. Safety is way above average. Lots of neighbors home during the day who are willing to let you know when there are strangers on the street. Good mix of young couples with kids and retirees. You are just 4 blocks from City Hall and the police station and their response times are excellent if you ever have the need to call them. I wouldn't live in any other part of town."
