3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been attending this school for 5 years and since I have been here, the school has made a lot of improvements. The band especially. Our extra curricular activities are very family-like and make it much easier to find friends and teachers to get along with. Teachers are very open and friendly, making it easier to study and work with them. They are also willing to make adjustments based on the overall participation and interest of the students. We have programs such as Dater Cares which allows students to volunteer and help their community. I think that the school may be hard to warm up to at first but once you become familiar with the environment, it can be a great experience as long as you put forth the effort and determination.Student Review6y ago - George Hays-Jennie Porter Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn my 4 years at Western Hills University High School (9-12), the experience was horrible. I've never experienced a school as bad as this. The students are wild, and the staff make no effort of trying to change them. I do not take pride in the fact that I attended and graduated from this school.Student Review5y ago - Withrow University High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageConsider a private school if it all possible. This school is in a steady and serious decline as indicated by the various metrics found here. The school is more interested in uber left, woke culture indoctrination than it is in education. Walnut (maybe) or private school is your only hope in Cincinnati.Parent Review3y ago - Woodward Career Technical High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAt Hughes stem high school, All the kids are extremely depressed at this school. Half of the teachers do not care about the students. They don't even really teach they just give them something and expect them to know it. I really do not feel like my kid is learning or achieving anything in this school. The principal accepted to many kids and now some of the other kids cannot go to the pathway they wanted to go too. The yonder pouches are outrageous. I need to contact my kid sometimes and I cannot contact them because of the pouches, and I do not want the office to know my personal information. A lot of the kids steal, and someone stole my kids Bus card, Headphones, and Binder. My kid told me that they are even banned from the target because they stole over 10k worth of stuff. The school is dirty it has roaches and rats, I see dirt and dust everywhere, I feel as if my child is not safe here.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 1403 Central Pkwy #400.

"High crime! A lot of drug dealing and killing. Neighbors and or friends/relatives are loud disrespectful to our neighborhood. They trash the outside, smoke weed right under your windows, argue, fight, bring out guns. Not sure how many times I’ve had to call the police! Looking to move ASAP!"

"The West End is not a single neighborhood. It really depends on what part of this are you live in. The area just west and north of City Hall is very nice, very safe, and very convenient. The "Dayton Street" neighborhood around Dayton, Baymiller, etc. is entirely unsafe, and the Lynn Street area is somewhere in between."

"I’ve lived below Liberty (first in the CBD then over-the-Rhine then CBD again) for about 9 years now, and it is an absolutely wonderful area as long as you don’t have young children at home. Growing up in the suburbs, I loved having the freedom to walk to stores and friends’ houses, etc. and after college, I moved to the still inexpensive at the time area, and I was able to experience the same convenience, but near more amenities for young adults. When my income increased and prices went up, I moved into a nicer apartment and enjoyed the constant improvement around me. Now that prices are leveling off, some of the businesses that attract violence have left, and a grocery store is finally moving in, it’s an even better place to live. "

"I live in this neighborhood. I can get to work in the central business district and enjoy all the great entertainment areas of downtown like the Gateway Quarter, the Banks, etc by walking or by a very cheap cab ride. Close to the revamped Washington Park, I walk my dogs to it often. "

"I recently moved to City West and like the other two posts noted, there are the problems of a downtown living setting evident here such as, trash, densely populated and noise. However, this is prevalent in any densely populated area, such as downtown. All in all, the space available in the City West Condo's is some of the least expensive in the downtown area and just as convenient for those professionals who are not interested in making the daily commute in from the suburbs."
