4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated from here in 2022 and 2 of my kids graduated in 2019 and 2020. There are a few excellent teachers, however the leadership and communication from the Principal is subpar. Keep in mind, my kids were not troublesome. One of my children received special services from the county and she came to me to make me aware that the specific special needs teacher she was working with was making unauthorized recordings of the students behavior and using it for a side business without permission. When I brought to the Principal's attention she was painstakingly slow to investigate and react and instead left it up to my child and I to provide the burden of proof before she finally investigated and discovered we were telling the truth. Another incident is when my son went to her with a legitimate issue that a teacher advised him to go to her about, she completely dismissed him! He came home and made me aware and it wasn't until I had to reach out to her that she actually took him seriously. Eventually she apologized to him with the excuse of her being so busy that she didn't realize she was being dismissive. "Regardless of how nice a neighborhood is, there could be any “kidnappers” and dangers to worry about like anywhere else. It just takes bad people to go to a different area. So be mindful, but this is one of the “safer” areas that I know. "
