About this House

This is a great Alaskan home built with a great room concept by a master log builder, Sandy Jamison. The massive logs and triple pane windows throughout the home make it extremely energy efficient. Front door with its stained glass depiction of a Goldpanner at work , enters into an Arctic Entry with coat hooks on the right side and double closets on the left side; then into the living room -dining room kitchen with Corian countertops. A vaulted tongue and groove ceiling with a Blaze King wood stove adorns the center of this great room. There is a very large pantry and a half bath just off the kitchen. Large windows look out to the Alaska Range and the City of Fairbanks. A huge deck allows you the luxury of bar-b-ques in the summer with your guest lounging on the deck while you cook! Downstairs you will find the laundry room with a System 2000 boiler, an office, a bath, 2 bedrooms and a master suite with a walk-in closet and bath with a shower. All bathrooms have corian counter tops. There is a large family room in the walk out basement where the hot tub awaits you. Outside you will find a large greenhouse, a detached heated double garage; a shed and beautiful landscaping.

"Fairbanks is a unique city, and I look forward to making it my permanent home. There’s an abundance of outdoor opportunities and a good farmers market too. "
  • Corkyclara
"Fairbanks feels like a safe place. It has a small town feeling to it and people look out for each other "
  • Shelby_victorino
"we say hi and are respectful of each other. We found our neighbors dog once and we called them off the dogs tag and found out they lived at the house across the street the dogs went home safe made us happy owning dogs ourself "
  • Tamara Parker
"My neighborhood is close to the main stores in Fairbanks, giving easy access and efficiency to everyday living. "
  • Claud4u2
"I drive my own vehicle I do not take the bus. I live in Fairbanks, it’s a great place to live if you don’t get involved in people business "
  • Wvallstate66
"I’ve lived here for over 20 years the people and community are great almost no matter where you go the community is relatively safe and there is almost nothing to worry about "
  • Fawn.barbieri20
"People are friendly- if you’re walking down the street we greet each other, maybe chat a minute. The kids play outside - safe and having fun"
  • Richardleewilkin3
"Dog owners would like the sidewalks and ease of the walking areas that include a small wooded area. "
  • Clarity Smith
"Be mindful of your neighborhood. There’s a drug problem in Fairbanks but also a lot of good people. Just be selective in your social groups and teach your kids to do the same. "
  • Jessica
"Neighborhood is wonderful! Close to Ft. Wainwright (about a 5min drive to the back gate that is open from 0500 to 2000) as well as Eilson AFB (about 25min away). Contrary to other reviewer's post, this neighborhood is on the other side of town from Pioneer Park, movie theatre, and the correctional facilities. It's a quiet, family friendly neighborhood where everyone keeps to themselves but waves when you're out and about. "
  • Jessica E.
"Love this neighborhood! Right next to Ft. Wainwright's back gate (so less traffic getting on to base), 5 minute drive to the city and close to all the amenities (Fred Meyer and Costco are 4-5 min drive away), restaurants within walking distance, and friendly neighbors. Neighborhood has several children and everyone looks out for each other. "
  • Melonie R.
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for six years and the neighbors are very friendly. We are next to the green belt and within walking distance of the elementary, middle, high school and University. You couldn’t find a better location to live! This neighborhood is very accepting of college students and military members."
  • Brandon S.
"We mostly drive to work in our area my kids can drive a school bus it is far however the neighbors are quiet and friendly."
  • Sposeparkour
"Golor run, golden days parade, midnight sun festival, watching Northern lights, ice festival, the 3 UAF traditions, and many more"
  • Csheldon865

  • Preyes310
"Alaska in general is a dog friendly state. Fairbanks even more so. Dogs here are like people, they are in and out of stores, hotels, and parks daily without a notice or hiccup"
  • Csheldon865
"I like this area it’s quiet. Not much traffic. And it’s a friendly neighborhood. The kids can play out. Friendly people"
  • Saraann T.
"it is not the best neighborhood but it isn't the worst. I am not afraid here but I do not leave my doors unlocked. "
  • Herrelldouglas907
"There is a lot of space for dogs and there’s a dog hospital nearby. The roads are usually clear and there’s a space on the side of the road for walkers, dog-walker or nix the dog."
  • Nat O.
"Dog owners like to walk around this neighborhood because of not busy areas and they are very nice. We always wave at each other when we drive pass by."
  • Adam S.
"My husband and two small toddlers have lived in this community for roughly two years with no issues what so ever . Convenient, private and quiet location . We have thoroughly enjoyed it."

  • Debychapman
"Great place for families who want a slower pace. The weather is livable. However the darkness is problematic for some in the community. "
  • plittlejohn
"It is .8 miles to my job or a 5 min car ride, 20-25 min walk although I wouldn't recommend walking after dark."
  • Trustno1alaska
"There are open spaces where you can let your dog off of their leash to run around. The river is in walking distance."
