I am of the 2013 graduating class of Carlinville High School! I couldn't imagine a better school to attend. They have a harder curriculum which pushes students to do even better than the "average" student. Due to this I found college so much easier and got a 4.0 both semesters of my first year at college. Also, being in a small town last names sometimes come up, but I didnt have a "good" last name and I excelled very well. Not to mention that the faculty and staff are the most supportive mentors I have ever had the experience working with. Carlinville High School will always be the foundation to my future successes.

My child is in first grade and so far our experience with the Carlinville school system has been exceptional. My child has Asperger's and our kindergarten and first grade teachers have really gone above and beyond to give creative, individual instruction to keep my child engaged in learning and socializing. The personal results I witness in my child month-to-month re maturity, responsibility, self-control and self-esteem are incredible and I give our teachers and Special Ed. staff many kudos; Thank you!

My son attended 4th grade and is now in 5th at CIS. The principal, teachers, and administrative staff we have encountered have been excellent in their teaching methods (Common Core "Illinois Learning Standards") and in their concern for students. The lunches are reportedly tasty and healthy, and teaching/administrative staff members are wonderful about communicating with parents. I am aware of bullying issues which go unnoticed, however, mainly [in my opinion] due to General State Aid funds being cut for rural districts. The classes are overcrowded - one teacher for 25 students - and there are too few aides.
