There seems to be something missing here—a lack of communication, attentiveness, and overall presence that leaves me concerned.

"Neighbors watch out for each other. There is a strong Facebook group that is on it. If I hear a noise outside I check FB and 20 other neighbors are talking about it. Nothing happens here without sharing with the neighbors. "
