3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my first child attending school & truly NOT the best school. Very disappointed that this is the closest school to my area, hadn’t heard anything positive about the school prior to having to let my child attend.Staff could handle situations much better, very FEW staff members/ teachers are actually helpful, many shrug off issues to avoid tending to them. Teachers are in a desperate rush to get rid of students in pick up lines after school conversations are constantly negative about having to deal with the kids, eager to clock out as heard during pick up. Unfortunate in all aspects, could be a much more pleasant learning environment & Overall more helpful to parents when having a concern/question.Parent Review1y ago4 Reviews - McCollum High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo me there isn't anything special about this school. I can definitely highlight the negatives better than the positives. The administrators focus way too much attention on things like dress code, and not enough on academics. Some of the administrators are very rude, and assuming. On the bright side, the school has a great leadership program, but the district needs to access other issues rather than construction.Student Review15y ago8 Reviews - Terrell Wells Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are there well before school starts and don't leave till about 5. They offer before and after school tutoring with most even tutoring during their conference period. The administration has a zero tolerance policy for bullying and violence and people that visit the school state are students are very well behaved. Our teachers and administration bring their own children through TWMS because the quality teaching that occurs and the family like environment that is established.Teacher Review12y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 138 E Ackard Pl.

"Neighborhoods are growing rapidly. New developments are happening every week. City is starting sidewalk and streets pending November 2027. Moved in 2024 and love the proximity to downtown and Alamodome."

"We moved here specifically for the community, schools, and the perfect central locations to downtown and the airport. We enjoy the community events, the street parties, and the community organization. There are so many people walking their dogs daily, it’s just a feeling of a true community. "

"I have resided in San Antonio ZIP Code 78210 for two years and I can’t say unequivocally that the neighborhood is improving. I feel very safe in my neighborhood. The neighborhood is lacking grocery stores, restaurants, bars, or any kind of social evening nightlife really. The streets are relatively well kept in the sidewalks are as well. I feel very safe, but it’s nott necessarily a neighborhood where I would go out walking after 9 PM. Neighbors are friendly if you are proactive in speaking with them. It is about the least outgoing, bunch of neighbors I’ve ever had in terms of reaching out."

"We have a 4th of July neighborhood parade. People in the neighborhood bring out their chairs and sit on the lawn to watch their friends/neighbors parade down the street dressed for the occasion in red, white and blue. Dogs are included."
