Description

Looking for a turn-key home with all the amenities, on a private lot in a great area? Welcome to 138 Barton Drive in Spring City. This open concept traditional home has been meticulously maintained and thoughtfully updated by its original owners so all you need to do is unpack and enjoy the park-like setting and back yard oasis! It features 4 bedrooms, 2.5 updated baths, over 4,000 SF of living space, including a spacious sunroom with fireplace, finished basement, expansive deck including a large enclosed porch, heated pool, hot tub, and professional landscaping. Approaching up the flagstone walkway, you are captivated by the landscape and begin to understand this home is special. The large 2 story foyer welcomes with a formal living room and dining room on either side. The updated kitchen features a large dining area, white cabinetry, dark granite counters, an expansive island with seating for 3 and storage below. And no shortage of storage with a custom pantry. There is even a large window over the sink to keep an eye on all that is happening outside! Just off the kitchen, is a bumped out and thoughtfully designed laundry room. Open to the kitchen is the large family room with its vaulted ceiling, new skylights with remote controlled shades, and fireplace. Continue through the double French doors to the massive sunroom. This space was an addition to the original build and is flooded with natural light thanks to 3 walls of windows, one with access to the deck, and a second custom designed fireplace. It’s the perfect place for morning coffee, or a glass of wine and quiet conversation. A private home office with natural wood accents and French doors, and powder room complete this level. Upstairs, the landing is open to the main level adding to the feeling of openness. Entering the primary suite, you will appreciate the spaciousness and natural light. The highlight is the updated primary bath featuring a designer claw-foot tub with high end hardware and its own crystal chandelier! There is a glass enclosed shower, rich wood double vanity, large window and a new skylight with remote controlled shade. Three additional bedrooms are on this level, plus a bonus room, accessible only through the walk-in closets in two of the bedrooms. This makes a great playroom, homework area or a second home office! A recently renovated hall bath services these bedrooms. Additional storage is found in the floored attic. Head down to the basement for movies, games, or a cold beverage at the bar. There are two big rooms, which can host a large, growing or multi-generational family, plus ample unfinished storage. The back yard has it all – a recently updated heated pool with a waterfall, a large hot tub and deck with multiple seating areas either outside or in the comfort of a screened in area. Enjoy the sunshine and a swim and then retreat to the hot tub or watch the kids from the comfort of the covered deck. The lush yard is quiet and private so you will feel like you are on vacation right at home! This home has too many updates to list but highlights include recently updated HVAC (all 3 zones), roof, kitchen, all 3 bathrooms, new hardwood flooring throughout the main level, newer carpet upstairs, deck, pool, new paint in the living, dining, family rooms plus the office and hall. The home features a whole home generator and had a full home inspection prior to hitting the market, so you will have peace of mind for years to come. It is set in a quiet neighborhood and is part of the award winning Owen J Roberts School District. Access to routes 23, 100, 422 and 202 is easy. You are under 20 minutes from Valley Forge or Marsh Creek Parks, 15 minutes to bustling Phoenixville or Pottstown and about 25 minutes to Malvern, King of Prussia or West Chester. Center City and the airport are under an hour. Come experience the amenities, updates, peace of mind and fabulous outdoor space this home has to offer. Welcome Home!

"I've lived in this area for almost 9 years and it's mostly quiet and pretty much clean. The schools are good and if you don't have a car the bus can get you to and fro where you need to go for the most part."
  • Kathleen N.
"It is a quiet rural area with lots of opportunities for recreation yet it is near major roadways making commuting to work easy. The school district is excellent "
  • Yisycastro

"There is access to major roads but they are busy during rush hour. my commute is 35-45 minutes to travel to the King of Prussia area."
  • Barbara B.
"Dogs on a leash are always welcome in this area! We are very close to numerous parks and areas that welcome dogs even some outdoor cafes! "
  • Jillian R.
"25-minute drive to Malvern with quite a few alternative routes to choose from. It's nice to avoid 422 on my commute."
  • Kathy
"I work from home. Local highways are a mess in the morning. Access to public transport is limited. It takes at least an hour to get to King of Prussia from here in the morning "
  • Gail B.
"People walk their dogs often and everyone cleans up after themselves and their pets. I live by the pool and you'll even see dogs and kids playing their a lot. "
  • Rasnruckus
"Due to increased traffic in the area what was formerly a nice little commute has turned into a nightmare!!"
  • Ljconkright
"We love to walk the neighborhood - especially across the Sheeder bridge! It is a very quaint community with beautiful views and very nice homes."
  • Rasnruckus
"My commute to work is anxiety generating and nerve wracking! Travel in this area during rush hour is rarely pleasurable!"
  • Tony O.
"The majority of apartments are within reasonable walking or driving distance from most points of interest."
  • Zandersmith17
"I grew up here it’s a great place to raise a family with great schools. And you don’t have to travel far to get to everyday places!"
  • Gerald M.
"Live here. great school system good neighborhood. Biking paradise Walking distance from the Schuykill bike trail. Minutes from some of the areas best trout fishing"
  • Jennifer L.
"I think that Spring City has this great small town atomsphere and has a lot of potential for fresh and exciting things if people would come and give a chance. It really has that potential to have that Mayberry close knit apple pie Americana feel if people would give it the opportunity. And it is close enough to major highways that you still have all the amenities that you need close by. I like and it is in a great school district. Thank you"
  • Medico19
"Lovely quiet area, with safe walking,. a short drive to grocery shopping, pharmacies, and gas stations, and restaurants. An excellent school district with close elementary schools."
  • wlattanzio
"The homes are reasonably priced in the area and there is plenty of parking, a huge plus. Without traffic you can be in King of Prussia in less than 15 minutes. There is plenty of local shopping. Shopping in Collegeville and Oaks is less than 10 minutes. There are few bars/pubs in the town, but Phoenixville is a short drive with a good choice of pubs and restaurants. The school district is excellent with a great kindergarten and grade school right in town. The borough itself is fairly quiet. There is no real public transportation. Septa runs one bus in town. There is a bike/walking trail in town the runs through to Valley Forge. Spring City is a good area for a young couple needing to be closer to metropolitan Philly but doesn't want the hassle of overcrowding/expensive apartments, and no parking."
  • Larry D.
"Very nice home. Nice neighborhood. Quiet and little traffic. Corner lot. Attractive and clean."
