Calaveras High is lowkey a mess. The school feels super outdated — like, they seriously need to upgrade everything from the classrooms to the sports fields. It’s kinda embarrassing how run down it is. You walk in and it’s like they just stopped trying.The academics? Meh. There’s a few AP classes, but overall it’s not really challenging. If you're trying to get prepared for college or anything after high school, don’t expect much. The curriculum feels like it’s stuck in 2010, and they don’t really offer any cool or unique electives that could actually help you stand out.The extracurriculars are kinda weak too. You got the basics like sports and clubs, but nothing that’s gonna make you hype. If you’re into something specific, good luck — there’s not a lot of options, and they’re not the best quality either. It’s like they’re just going through the motions instead of offering stuff that actually interests people.Overall, Calaveras High is kinda just there. It doesn’t push you to do better, and it definitely doesn’t have the resources or opportunities you need to succeed. If you’re looking to level up, this isn’t the place.

This school is the worst school I've ever attended. I'm a student now entering 8th grade and these are the bad things I have experienced:• Laced Brownies being given out by students• Half the kids vaping in bathrooms AND classrooms• Teachers that do absolutely NOTHING when a student is overly misbehaving• Staff taking no action when a student is bullied, harrassed, or struggling in any way.• Students CHARGING INTO THE STALLS WHEN PEOPLE ARE IN THEM and getting zero punishment• False rumors and discrimination due to people being overweight, lgbtq, or special needs.I beg of you, from a student with 2 years of experience at this school, DO. NOT. SEND. YOUR. KIDS. HERE.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the most recent reviewer and say this school seems to cover up a lot. They do NOT properly protect children from bullying or any other type of harmful harassment! The principle will attempt to have private meetings with your child and not have the parent present even if you've requested to be present. There are absolutely no consequences for the bad behaviors even with witnesses and paper trails. This school does not seem to be adequately trained on important factors and it's extremely unorganized in so many ways. There is a lot of lack in respect especially when their own principle cuts off concerned parents while speaking and does NOTHING to properly & lawfully rectify anything. Not a school that gives me the warm and fuzzy feeling that my children are safe here, sadly. They need major help.
