4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had a very disappointing experience with the school principal. The principal’s communication style was disrespectful, aggressive, and unnecessarily confrontational. It felt that there may be personal bias influencing decisions regarding my child, which is very concerning. A school environment should be fair, supportive, and free from personal prejudice.Unfortunately, the interaction felt dismissive and hostile. I hope this is taken seriously, as students deserve to be treated with fairness and respect. Overall, the school is good, but the principal leaves much to be desired.Parent Review2mo ago10 Reviews - Ps 119 Amersfort

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall I feel that great things happening at PS 119. The administration is ahead of the game and making strides to find ways to help the children become better citizens overall. I particularly find it a great place for early childhood. I would not hesitate on sending your child here provided that you are prepared to give them extra academic support at home. Where as the academic climate is not as rigorous as I would like (until the 5th grade), the social climate is a strong one. Better than you will find at the majority of public schools. Biggest concern is that some of the teachers and school support staff in the building need an overhaul. However, overall it is a great learning environment that supports your childs social and emotional growth.Parent Review8y ago8 Reviews - Andries Hudde School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am so grateful I found this school because it is simply an incredible early education school. The teachers at this school are strong and knowledgeable. They really support the kids' educational journey. They have a joyful community as well. They celebrate all the various holidays with parades and family engagement and the teachers and staff always get involve with the fun! There was a snafu with my daughter's prior school and when I contacted the principal, Ms. Fontanelli, her email led me to believe that this was the school for her. She was so warm and welcoming and let me know if I needed anything that she was simply an email or phone call away and her staff also will be happy to help me. And of course, when I went to register, that was exactly the case.My daughter comes home saying how much she loves school. I wish this school went to 5th grade (it goes from 3K-2nd grade) because I would have transferred my son immediately. If you are looking for a strong academic and fun community school, PS 326 is the one!Parent Review1y ago23 Reviews - Check out schools near 1361 E 38th St #2.

"The commute is not great. You have to take a bus to the subway. The bus is on a very dependable schedule and the subway comes like clockwork. Time right it could be 1:25 foot to door. I take a cab to the train in the am ($12 ride) and the bus home (it’s always sitting outside the train). Definitely manageable."

"I lived here with my grandchildren. The local schools are AMAZNG...better than any private school i have seen. Due to so many of the first responders who live in the neighborhood it is very safe and family oriented. Close to marine park and snake park. Ideal place"

"Was originally looking in Cobble Hill Carroll Gardens area and even though its considerably more expensive i didnt get that same family feeling that Marine Park offered. So i rolled the dice and bought . I spent 1/3 the price, have twice the amount of land, im close to the beach, the park is amazing, my kids play with the other kids on the block instead of video games in the living room, strangers walk past you and say hello... i could probably go on for ever. I dont mind the few extra stops to Manhattan when i see how my family is enjoying living here. Love it!!!"
