Description

Set on a delightfully level point lot with nearly 300 feet of pristine Lake Keowee shoreline, a sandy beach, and sweeping water views from almost every room, 136 Talons Point Road pairs timeless Southern Living architecture with thoughtful, extensive updates that enhance both livability and design. Antique reclaimed wood from Seneca’s historic Utica cotton mill, established in 1898, has been masterfully incorporated throughout—featured in the flooring, beams, cabinetry, millwork, and architectural details—creating a warm, one-of-a-kind residence rich in character.

The exterior welcomes with a blend of stone and masonry siding, shed dormers, and a classic rocking chair front porch. Inside, recent improvements have transformed the main living areas by removing arches in the foyer, living room, and kitchen, creating a brighter, more seamless flow that complements the home’s natural light and lakefront orientation. A dramatic wall of Marvin windows and doors frames expansive water views, while the great room’s soaring stone fireplace and gambrel plank ceiling anchor the space with timeless appeal.

The kitchen is both beautiful and functional, offering light cabinetry, a center island, custom hood, walk-in pantry, and high-end appliances including a gas cooktop, double ovens, and a paneled refrigerator. The adjacent dining area and sunroom capture panoramic lake views, while outdoor living has been enhanced with updated cable railings on the deck to maximize sightlines and a newly screened upper-level porch for year-round enjoyment. A dedicated grilling deck sits conveniently just off the kitchen.

The main-level primary suite has been refined with an expanded walk-in closet and an updated fireplace surround and mantel, offering a more elevated retreat. In the en suite, a tiled shower is centered between his-and-her vanities, while a jetted tub enjoys views from its windowed alcove. The room above the garage has been thoughtfully outfitted as a suite with self-contained crib area serving as a nursery, offering flexibility for a variety of uses.

The lower level has been thoughtfully improved with new luxury vinyl plank flooring, added cabinetry and storage, and updated tile in the mechanical and laundry spaces. A spacious recreation area with a fireplace and bar opens to a full-length patio featuring a porch swing, while additional bedrooms and guest accommodations provide comfort and privacy.

Beyond the home, the property has undergone extensive exterior and systems enhancements. A new roof, updated HVAC servicing the primary suite, and two new hot water heaters completed in 2025 ensure efficiency and peace of mind. The homesite has been significantly improved through selective tree removal, enhancing both usability and long-range lake views, while a newly installed circular driveway, expanded parking, and a golf cart path to the water with a turnaround add convenience.

Outdoor features now include a private putting green with synthetic turf, updated irrigation to support the refreshed landscaping, and a covered dock with a lift designed to accommodate a Tritoon. Additional upgrades such as weather-resistant PVC-wrapped columns, new attic access, sliding barn doors concealing mechanicals, full interior repainting, exterior trim refresh completed in 2025, and a freshly painted garage in 2026 further elevate the property’s turnkey appeal.

Located within the gated Talons community in the heart of Lake Keowee, this exceptional property offers both privacy and convenience, just minutes to Clemson University, nearby shopping and dining, and within an hour of Greenville. Please see supplemental documents for a complete list of updates and features.

  • Sheri Ellen
"We have many pet owners and is a pet friendly neighborhood. Been living in Seneca 58 years. Family is important! "
  • R Copps
"I’ve lived in the area (specifically the Village of Newry) for 9 years and I love it. Close to everything but far enough away to feel relaxed. Nice neighbors, a lot of improvements and community pride had increased."
  • Fox
"Neighbors are friendly and take really really good care of their homes and property. They clean up after their dogs and are extremely respectful "
  • Tara Patterson
"People come together to support each other during difficult times. The community is welcoming and there are many fun outdoor activity spaces. "
  • Shelley K.
"Just moved here and love it! Neighbors wave when you go buy. No one speeds and rarely do you see strangers unless they deliver something. Very quiet, but you can hear the stadium from here."
  • Dara D.
"This is a Lake community and very friendly people. A good combo of laid back like life and still near plenty of shops/restaurants!"
  • Jefferson B.
"Several people walk dogs past my house on a daily basis in the Bayshore community where I live. We know to watch for them when driving and wave from cars and porches. "
  • Brundage801
"it's ok if you don't live right in town. the mill area is not the best place to live or visit due to it being a high crime area. "
  • Brundage801
"its an ok place depending on where you live in seneca. The schools are good and shopping is always close by."
  • Erin G. .
"We’ve lived here over a year and it’s very quiet and everyone kinda keeps to themselves. My only complaint would be people tend to speed in the neighborhood and that does bother me since we have a child & dog so we tend to walk a lot. "
  • Amyhartgantt
"People are always walking dogs twice a day. Very dog friendly. Most people have dogs and some even walk with a golf cart "
  • Jefferson B.
"There ARE nice parts of Seneca, like the Bayshore subdivision (where we live), and neighboring ones AND there are "undesirable" areas, such as near downtown. "
  • Isom0314
"Neighborhood is a great area ! Awesome place to live, quiet and safe. Great place to raise your kids and have a family!"
  • Hugo Marques
"I enjoy being a resident in Seneca... Anything I need can be found in here: restaurants, car repair shops, supermarkets, pharmacy, medical assistance, good schools..."
  • Raeleigh W.
"There’s really not a lot to not like for a dog owner. Most neighborhoods have backyard space that is fenced in for the dog to run around, and you can walk your dog around the neighborhoods as well. One thing that they may not like is that there’s no where to throw away doggie bags if you pick up after your dog. Which, mostly no one would want a doggie bag trash can near their front yard, but it’s not like our neighborhoods have nice side walks to walk on, and even the park doesn’t have the doggie bag trash can. Other than that and people flying up and down the road, there’s not much a dog owner wouldn’t like. "
  • Hank N
"No side walk. So walking in the road with a few blind spots for drivers. Even tho it’s posted for 20 mph. People still go way too fast. "
  • Amy G.
"We are a Lake Keowee neighborhood that is nearly complete. We are close to town, Close to a county park and boat ramp, tennis courts and pickle ball courts. Boat storage around the corner. Everyone walks their dogs, waves hello. "
  • The Jensens
"I see a lot of people walking their dogs or kids around our loop. Dog owners seem to be mindful of dog waste. We've heard no complaints about any of the dogs."
  • Duaneg2017
"There's no community events, in this neighborhood. Mostly retired people, living here, with a hand full of young edults. This is a mixed race neighborhood, which every body gets along, with the exception of one, who recently left after beating up his livein girlfriend, he still owns his dilapidated home, but at least him and his drugs are gone for now. Where approximately 1 1/2 miles from shopping, which includes Wal-Mart, two shopping centers and a dozen diffrent places too eat and two gas stations within a mile."
  • Cngwatts
"Everyone always saves to each other. Kids play in the yards, ride bikes and Halloween everyone in town comes here to Trick or Treat"
