They have him working not only with a speech therapist but also an interventionist amd recently employed a mental health counselor. With their help he has gone from frustration and anger to being excited to read.Parent Review2y ago - North Wood High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended NWMS her 8th grade year. Being new comers, We noticed immediately that the children here who have a family history in this area are extremely favored by the teachers, regardless of there GPA. None of the teachers took interest in my daughter or her extremely impressive educational profile. We were very disappointed that the school does not offer honors classes other than mathematics. Nor do they offer membership for the National Junior Honor Society or other clubs that promote community involvement such as the Jr Lions Club. My child was never offered the opportunity to go on the 8th grade end of year trip to New York because we were not here to sign up for it during 7th grade...I've never heard of such a thing. We love the small community feel in Wakarusa and were hoping to feel more welcome here. My daughter did not feel challenged academically compared to her previous education in another state. Most ivy league colleges review educational profiles from 6th grade thru 12th. It is impossible for a child to qualify if the school doesn't offer the opportunities for the ambitious students.Parent Review12y ago - Check out schools near 135 Brookside Mnr #135.
